Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker based in Pennsylvania. I received my masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania and have 10+ years experience providing inclusive care for children, teens, and young adults in school, university, and community based mental health settings. I provide a supportive space for clients to explore their challenges and utilize evidence-based approaches tailored to best meet their needs and meet their goals.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first introductory session, I will focus on getting to know you and/or your child. I will ask questions to learn and better understand you or your child's unique strengths and current challenges, and what goals you or your child may have for therapy. I will then use what I have learned to collaborate with you and create an individualized therapeutic care plan.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe therapy is most effective when it leads to measurable and meaningful progress. My approach is grounded in the belief that insight is best paired with action in order to create meaningful and desired change. As a certified School Social Worker (Pre-K–12) who also has experience in higher education counseling, I specialize in helping students and professionals bridge the gap between their personal well-being and their academic or career demands.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love working with children, teens, and young adults (neurotypical and neurodiverse) experiencing mental health challenges to help them embrace their unique strengths and individuality and become their best selves.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been privileged to work with children, teens, and young adults utilizing different trauma informed therapy modalities to best meet their needs and identified goals. I have training and extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) to help individuals experiencing a variety of conditions. I am also certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral (TF-CBT).
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I completed my DBT Training Coursework while obtaining my Master's Degree at The University of Pennsylvania in 2014. I utilize this modality in adapted forms to support children, teens, and young adults-particularly those who identify as neurodiverse- to help them with making desired changes in behaviors and meet their identified goals.
EMDR
I completed my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in 2022 with the Maiberger Institute. I have used this modality with elementary school aged children (neurotypical and neurodiverse) as a School Social Worker to help children who have experienced previous trauma.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I have utilized ERP in my practice to support children with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and/ or phobias gain greater control over intrusive thoughts and associated behaviors.
