LCSW, 3 years of experience
New to Grow
Throughout my life, I have always valued being included, seen, and accepted for exactly who I am as an individual. This made me curious about how human beings function and process the world around them. In my educational and personal journey to discover this, I became a clinician who works hard to ensure everyone I work with feels included, seen, accepted, and supported in maintaining their true authentic selves.
Our first session together, the intake, will review your rights as a client, what you can expect from me as your therapist, and an assessment of your reasons for seeking therapy and your needs. Although the process may feel invasive, the more you share, the more I will be able to support you. I am grateful to all who are willing to share their most vulnerable experiences and for being on the journey with you!
I am culturally competant, strengths based, and eclectic as I am trained in various modalities. I can aid in problem-solving, case management, and resource linkage. This means that I can support you with identifying problems and solutions, identifying resources if necessary, and guiding you in taking actionable steps on your journey to meet your goals. Whether this is your first step into therapy or you are finding your way back, I am proud of you. Healing is a journey and I strive to walk with you in that journey. As a therapist, I pride myself in tailoring my support to the individual needs, strengths, and personal goals of each and every person however they may walk through this world. I strive to create a collaborative and safe environment for my clients. With that said, I will always attune my communication to what is pertinent in the moment for the session and will ask what you feel comfortable with, whether it is aiding with reflection or a more direct approach.
I work hard to ensure everyone I work with feels included, seen, accepted, and supported in maintaining their true authentic selves. I have experience working with a vast range of clientele from young children, adolescents, to young adults; however, my current client focus is transitional age (18-36) or young adulthood. I understand how young adulthood can be a time of great excitement and growth as well as destabilization and crisis. My goal is to aid those in this developmental stage to normalize or identify their challenges, orient to their needs, and be successful, fully functioning adults in whatever way that presents for them.
This is the very basis of my approach and training in being able to effectively listen and respond to your needs.
Everyone has strengths that can be essential to your healing. My role is to aid you identifying and affriming these strengths, even if you do not see it yourself.
I begin to understand you and meet you where you are and from where you come from in order to get you where you want to be.
As a Social Worker, I am trained in a variety of evidence based practices and sue techniques to tailor my approach to the individual. Techniques I regularly use stem form Cognitive Behavioral, Minfulness, Dialectical Behavioral, and Expressive therapy practices.
