About me

Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Registered Art Therapist based in California. I have been practicing for 18 years with an array of populations and in different settings. I help individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, and relational issues, or personal struggles that may be causing distress and preventing them from becoming their best self, or preventing them to meet their goals in life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will review important information required for psychotherapy. We'll start with brief introductions and review necessary personal history. It is important that I gain a thorough understanding of what brings you to seek therapy at this time in your life, hence in the first couple of sessions we will delved into personal reflections that will help us create a collaborative treatment plan for the follow-up sessions. I will frequently assess where we are in the set goals and change them as growth occurs during the course of treatment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with an array of populations and in different settings, I've developed ample knowledge, techniques and practices to help you: (a) identify the root cause of your challenges, and (b) create a treatment plan that leads to measurable progress. I am genuinely interested in helping my clients feel better and meet their goals. I am client-centered in my approach, and value our therapeutic relationship, but I will challenge you to promote self-reflection and self-discovery.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clients are eager to improve the quality of their lives. I work with individuals who have the overall goal to improve themselves, but don't yet have the tools needed to make their life goals a reality. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, sad or anxious but want to learn skills for managing their emotions, and change patterns of behaviors that have not yielded what they want for themselves.

Ingrid was very calm and really felt like she was listening to what I had to say. Her calm and gentle demeanor really made me feel comfortable to be myself in which was really important to me. I can’t wait to obtain our little goals throughout our sessions for the bigger picture.
