Raghad Tabaza
Dr. Raghad Tabaza is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychology and psychological assessment. She received her doctorate from Loma Linda University and completed her clinical training at several hospitals in Southern California. Dr. Tabaza provides therapy to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Drawing on her neuropsychological training, she considers how cognitive, medical, and emotional factors interact in each client’s presentation. Her clinical interests include ADHD, traumatic brain injury, neurocognitive changes, and neurological and chronic medical conditions. She frequently works with clients who are adjusting to a new diagnosis, managing memory or attention concerns, coping with grief, or experiencing caregiver strain. Her approach is integrative and goal-oriented. She draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and humanistic approaches, and tailors treatment to each client’s needs and goals.
First session
In the first session, Dr. Tabaza focuses on understanding each client’s history, reasons for seeking therapy, and goals for treatment. She asks focused questions, shares her initial clinical impressions, and works collaboratively with the client to outline a treatment plan that reflects their priorities. Clients leave with a clear sense of direction and what to expect from treatment moving forward.
Strengths
Dr. Tabaza combines attentive listening with direct, honest feedback. She creates space to work through difficult experiences while also sharing her clinical observations clearly when doing so supports progress. Her background in psychological assessment helps her identify early whether a concern calls for brief, targeted intervention or a deeper look at underlying patterns. Her training in clinical neuropsychology also informs her attention to how sleep, cognition, stress, and physical health affect thinking, mood, and daily functioning. These factors are often overlooked, and they can meaningfully shape what effective treatment looks like.
Ideal clients
Dr. Tabaza primarily works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions who want to address both underlying factors and symptom management. Many are navigating a new medical or neurological diagnosis, cognitive concerns, ADHD, chronic illness, brain injury, or caregiver strain. Her clients are ready to set goals, work between sessions, and take an active role in their care.
Treatment methods
Integrative
Dr. Tabaza uses an integrative, goal-oriented approach, drawing primarily on cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and humanistic therapies. Rather than applying a single model, she selects interventions based on each client's concerns, goals, and clinical presentation. Cognitive behavioral strategies help clients identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. Solution-focused techniques build on existing strengths to support practical, near-term progress. A humanistic foundation keeps treatment collaborative and client-centered. Her assessment background allows her to determine early whether a concern is best addressed through brief, targeted work or a deeper exploration of underlying patterns.
