New to Grow
I have been working as a social worker since 2010, and I have been in private practice since 2020. I use CBT, DBT, EPR, Mindfulness and creative expression as treatment modalities, and we will closely collaborate on therapy goals and how to meet each objective. I have extensive experience working with children and teens, and I am also fully equipped to work with all ages. I specialize in anxiety and OCD, and I work with many clients diagnosed with depression and bipolar disorder as well. I believe therapy is a deeply personal journey, and my role in the process of change brings me immense pride.
I can provide a free 20 minute consultation phone call or zoom meeting so that you can decide beforehand if we will work well together if you choose. For the first session, we will meet for a hour to discuss what you may need from therapy. The initial assessment is meant to lay the framework of treatment in general including your presenting problems and goals. I will be interviewing you to understand the issues and to be able to diagnose any mental health diagnosis.
I believe in loving my neighbor through faithful service and helping those in need to find their God given strengths to grow and prosper during life challenges.
I feel most confident working with clients who are dealing with anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression and bipolar disorder. I enjoy working with children, teens, young adults especially, but I have extensive experience working with all ages. I would like to work with clients who are willing to do homework outside of sessions and can meet at least twice per month.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
The basis of my treatment styles is Cogntivie Behavioral Tehrapy (CBT) which is the gold standard for treating depression and anxiety. I also use Exposure Response Provention (ERP) for obsessive compulsive disorder treatment, and I can encorporate art therapy techniques and other creative processes to help with treatment.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I also use Exposure Response Provention (ERP) which is backed by research for the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder in the form of homework activities for clients to do safely on their own.
Eclectic
Treatment will be decided upon through collaboration tailored to your personal needs. I can also incorporate art therapy and creative techniques in session.
