Hi, I’m Jodi Vaughn, PMHNP-BC, and I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for help isn’t always easy, and I believe everyone deserves a provider who truly listens without judgment. I work with adolescents and adults to create personalized treatment plans that combine medication management, therapy, and integrative approaches such as lifestyle changes, nutritional supplementation, vibroacoustic therapy, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy when appropriate. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered while working together toward meaningful, lasting improvements in your mental health and overall well-being.

First session

During our first session, we’ll take the time to get to know one another. I want to understand not only the symptoms you’re experiencing, but also your story, your strengths, your goals, and the challenges that have brought you here. Together we’ll review your mental health history, medical history, previous treatments, lifestyle, sleep, nutrition, stressors, and other factors that may be affecting your emotional well-being. I believe treatment should never feel rushed or one-size-fits-all. Rather than simply prescribing medication, I focus on creating a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle modifications, nutritional supplementation, vibroacoustic therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy when appropriate, and collaboration with your other healthcare providers. Every recommendation is tailored to your individual needs and goals. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions, discuss concerns, and leave with a clear understanding of your treatment options and next steps. My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, understood, and hopeful.

Strengths

I believe the best outcomes happen when clients feel genuinely heard. I strive to create a warm, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and working collaboratively toward your goals. My approach blends evidence-based psychiatric care with integrative mental health treatment. In addition to medication management and psychotherapy, I consider the many factors that influence emotional wellness, including sleep, nutrition, stress, physical health, relationships, and lifestyle. When appropriate, I incorporate nutritional supplements, pharmacogenomic testing, vibroacoustic therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and other complementary approaches to support healing. I take time to explain diagnoses, medications, and treatment options so you feel informed and involved in every decision. My goal is to help you understand not just what we’re doing, but why we’re doing it. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, OCD, bipolar disorder, postpartum challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands, I am committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care that helps you build lasting resilience and improve your quality of life.

Ideal clients

I work best with adolescents and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful, lasting changes. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, postpartum mental health concerns, or feeling overwhelmed by daily life, I’m here to help. Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals, healthcare workers, parents, or caregivers who have spent so much time taking care of others that they’ve neglected their own well-being. I also enjoy working with individuals who feel they’ve “tried everything” and are looking for a fresh, personalized, and integrative approach. Together, we’ll identify your goals, build on your strengths, and develop a treatment plan that helps you feel more balanced, confident, and fulfilled.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, stress, and other emotional difficulties. Together, we explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and develop practical strategies to create healthier patterns. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual, incorporating CBT techniques alongside medication management and integrative treatment when appropriate. The goal is to provide clients with skills they can continue using long after our sessions together.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses without judgment. Mindfulness can reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, increase resilience, and help clients feel more grounded in the present moment. Depending on each person’s needs, I may introduce breathing exercises, grounding techniques, relaxation strategies, and other mindfulness practices alongside medication management, therapy, and integrative approaches to support overall mental wellness.
