I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) based in Texas. I received my Master of Social Worker Degree from Texas State University and have been in private practice for over six years. I work with women of all ages utilizing their own strengths to work through their trauma, stress, and life transitions while improving their well-being and quality of life. I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals impacted by abuse, neglect, substance use, mental health, incarceration and illness. I have worked with children, families and individuals in varied settings to include juvenile probation, residential treatment, drug court and over 16 years in the child welfare system. For the last 12 years, I have worked in an inpatient hospital setting. I have worked specifically the last 11 years in Women’s Health Services. I am committed to helping others improve their quality of life in a non-judgmental and welcoming space.
During our first session, we will begin with introductions and will then discuss challenges that you are experiencing. This will help me to create a tailored plan for follow up sessions.
I have worked in private practice for 6 years, but have over 30 years of working with families, children, and individuals through a myriad of challenging experiences. I am committed to helping individuals work through their trauma and identify strengths that they can utilize to develop coping mechanisms, skills and plans to assist them in accomplishing their goals.
I enjoy working with women of all ages who are experiencing stress and complex challenges and want to learn new coping skills and/or tools as they face varied life transitions. Often times, individuals feel discouraged due to past trauma and life experiences and active listening and a space to talk can be helpful. I also enjoy working with women preparing for motherhood and recent mothers who have an interest in improving their mental health.
