Welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I obtained my degree from The University At Albany in 2019. Since then, I have enjoyed working with a variety of populations who have struggled with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. I enjoy working with folks that have struggled in their relationships and aim to help them work through the trials of life.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Throughout our time together, we will check in to how our goals and how progress is going. As a clinician, it is of the upmost importance that we have dialog on how treatment is going. I value flexibility with the process and want to ensure your time is being well spent.
As a provider, I find that flexibility in the process to be the upmost importance. I take client feedback very seriously and want to establish a working dynamic where my client feels comfortable and in control of their treatment. I offer unique perspectives and dedicate myself to understanding my client's views.
I love working with young adults who are experiencing anxiety in their relationships or in other aspects of their lives. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. My goal is to help them build the skills needed to decrease distress while allowing clients a supportive space to openly process their thoughts and feelings! Navigating through the complexities of mental health is a courageous yet daunting task, and it's okay to seek assistance. If an approach rooted in empathy and genuine desire to help you discover your resilience and strengths within to better empower you please reach out!
At the core of my practice, I implement a humanistic approach to therapy while adjusting techniques based on each client’s needs. I utilize interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy while incorporating elements of a strengths based approach.
