(she/her)
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I bring nearly 20 years of nursing experience into every patient interaction, shaping a practice grounded in compassion, clinical expertise, and genuine human connection. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and across a wide range of medical and mental health settings. These experiences have strengthened my ability to actively listen—not just to what is said, but to what may be unspoken—allowing me to fully understand each patient’s unique story, concerns, and goals. I pride myself on creating a judgment-free zone where patients feel safe, respected, and heard. I understand that seeking mental health care can be vulnerable, and I strive to foster an environment where individuals can openly share their thoughts and experiences without fear of stigma or criticism. My ability to relate to a wide variety of life situations helps me meet patients where they are, offering empathy and perspective that supports trust and connection. I am a certified trauma provider through Evergreen Trauma Certification and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider through PSI (Postpartum Support International). I provide perinatal medication support to patients during pregnancy and postpartum to manage mental health conditions while prioritizing maternal and fetal safety.

At the core of my practice is a genuine desire to help others live to their fullest potential. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth, resilience, and fulfillment, even in the face of significant challenges. This belief drives my work and fuels my dedication to supporting patients as they navigate their mental health journeys. I am not only focused on symptom reduction but also on helping individuals rediscover purpose, confidence, and balance in their lives. Whether a patient is working through anxiety, depression, ADHD, or other mental health concerns, my goal is to help them move beyond survival and toward a life that feels meaningful and empowering. Actively listening to my patients’ wants and needs is another cornerstone of my approach. I understand that effective care begins with truly hearing the patient. This means giving them the space to express themselves openly, validating their experiences, and ensuring that their voice remains central in the treatment process. By listening carefully to what patients want from their care, I can align treatment goals with their personal values and expectations. Equally important is listening to their needs, which may not always be clearly stated but can be understood through thoughtful engagement and attention to detail. This dual focus allows me to provide care that is both patient-driven and clinically sound. My personal understanding of the benefits of mental health care further strengthens my practice. Having insight into how treatment can positively impact an individual’s quality of life allows me to approach my work with authenticity and conviction. I am able to communicate hope and encouragement in a way that resonates with patients, helping them see the value in committing to their care. This perspective also enhances my ability to provide psychoeducation, ensuring that patients are informed, empowered, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. Compassion is the thread that ties all of these strengths together. I approach every patient with kindness, patience, and a deep respect for their journey. Compassion allows me to connect with individuals on a human level, beyond clinical roles and diagnoses. It guides how I communicate, how I listen, and how I respond to the challenges my patients face. In a field where vulnerability is often at the forefront, compassion creates a safe and supportive space for healing.
Ideally, I am looking to help clients who are motivated to engage and participate in their treatment to manage symptoms and improve functioning. Individuals who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, bipolar disorder, perinatal mood disorders, sleep disturbances, and other mood disorders that are seeking a provider to provide compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based mental health care. I work well with clients who value open communication, are willing to engage honestly in the mental health process, feel comfortable discussing their symptoms, participate in their treatment goals, and can freely express any concerns related to medications or interventions.
Other specialties
I identify as
Psychoeducation
In my experience, psychoeducation has proven to be an effective foundational treatment method to empower patients with knowledge about their mental health conditions, symptoms, and treatment options. I provide clear, evidence-based explanations tailored to each patient’s level of understanding, helping to reduce stigma and increase insight. By educating patients on medication purpose, potential side effects, and coping strategies, I promote adherence and active participation in care. I also incorporate discussions about lifestyle factors, stress management, and early warning signs, enabling patients to recognize changes and respond proactively. This collaborative approach fosters trust, enhances self-efficacy, and supports long-term stability and recovery.
Supportive
Supportive treatment is focusing on strengthening a patient’s ability to cope with stressors while promoting emotional stability. This method is particularly effective for individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Supportive treatment works well alongside medication management, addressing both emotional and clinical needs. By reinforcing resilience and encouraging healthy coping strategies, it helps patients navigate challenges more effectively and supports long-term mental health and overall well-being.
Compassion Focused
Compassion-focused treatment is designed to help patients develop self-compassion and reduce feelings of shame, self-criticism, and emotional distress. This method is especially beneficial for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self-esteem. Compassion-focused treatment complements medication management and supports long-term healing, empowering patients to feel more balanced, confident, and emotionally secure.
