New to Grow
Hi, I’m a therapist who believes healing happens best in a space that feels genuine, supportive, and human. Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, writing true crime pieces, painting, and embracing a slow, intentional lifestyle especially slow mornings that allow time for reflection and self-care. I bring that same grounded and thoughtful energy into my work with clients. I work with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, work through emotional challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives. My approach is compassionate, honest, and collaborative, while still encouraging growth and accountability throughout the therapeutic process.
Clients can expect their first session with me to feel welcoming, conversational, and judgment free. I value authenticity and humor in therapy, and I strive to help clients feel comfortable while we begin exploring what brought them to counseling. During the first session, we will discuss your goals for therapy, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from the counseling process. I also like to provide helpful resources, worksheets, or reflective packets for clients to work on outside of session so therapy can continue beyond our time together.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is helping clients move beyond limiting beliefs and negative mindsets that may be keeping them stuck. I work to help clients recognize patterns, gain insight into themselves, and reconnect with a sense of direction and purpose in their lives. My therapeutic approach combines empathy, honesty, and practical tools that encourage both emotional healing and personal growth. Clients often appreciate my ability to create a safe and supportive environment while also gently challenging them toward meaningful change.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are motivated for growth and willing to actively engage in the therapeutic process. My ideal clients are individuals who consistently show up for sessions, are open to self-reflection, and make intentional efforts to apply what we discuss in therapy to their daily lives. They may be working through trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, or personal growth goals, but they share a desire to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. I work best with clients who value accountability, consistency, and collaboration in the counseling relationship. I strive to provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space while also encouraging clients to challenge patterns that may no longer serve them. Together, we focus on building insight, emotional resilience, healthier coping strategies, and stronger relationships both with themselves and others.
EMDR
I have experience using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, distressing memories, and negative core beliefs. In my practice, I use EMDR to help clients process unresolved experiences that continue to affect their emotional functioning and present-day relationships. I incorporate grounding, resourcing, and stabilization techniques before beginning reprocessing to ensure clients feel emotionally safe and prepared. I appreciate EMDR’s structured yet flexible framework and its ability to help clients reduce emotional distress while developing more adaptive beliefs about themselves and their experiences.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients identify and better understand emotional patterns that influence their relationships and interpersonal experiences. My experience with EFT includes helping clients recognize underlying attachment needs, process emotions more effectively, and strengthen emotional connection and communication. In practice, I guide clients in exploring vulnerable emotions beneath reactive behaviors, allowing them to develop healthier relational patterns and increased emotional responsiveness. I appreciate EFT’s emphasis on attachment, emotional processing, and creating secure emotional bonds.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My experience with Person Centered Therapy involves creating a supportive, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. In practice, I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship through unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity. I use this approach to help clients explore their emotions, increase self-awareness, and build confidence in their own ability to make meaningful decisions and changes. I value Person Centered Therapy because it promotes client autonomy and fosters emotional safety within the counseling relationship.
