About me

PLEASE NOTE: I am only accepting intakes for clients with daytime availability at this time. Unfortunately, my evening sessions are currently booked with clients. Intakes scheduled for after 4 PM will be cancelled and asked to reschedule. I appreciate your understanding at this time. Are you struggling in your daily life to manage intrusive thoughts or to keep yourself feeling "happy"? Are you struggling in your relationships to feel like you're "enough" or to feel like you're appreciated? Do you often wish you had someone to talk to about some of the things you're experiencing to figure out a way to "fix" things you're unhappy with? Hello, My name is Jacqueline Adams (she/her). I have worked as a mental health therapist in various settings for the past five years. I have worked with people working on problems related to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and PTSD (among other diagnoses). I seek to help empower people to feel like they can address their concerns as well as to develop hope and optimism that things can improve. I work with clients to develop interventions they can use in day-to-day life to help them manage anxiety/depression or other difficulties they experience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session we talk a bit about what you would like to work on with me. I very much treat this session as an interview for you to "get a feel" for me to see if I'm someone you would feel comfortable opening up to and working with.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I think I'm unique as I really listen to what clients feel will be most supportive to helpful to them- empowering you to take control of your treatment. I am also very warm and personable so it doesn't feel like work talking to me.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with clients who are struggling with difficulties in managing their anxiety, especially around their relationships with others or boundaries with others. I tend to work well with clients in developing their confidence and boundaries in their relationships with others.

I absolutely love Jacqueline. She makes me feel like I’m speaking to a very knowledgeable and wise friend. Haha. She listens to my troubles and doesn’t judge.
