New to Grow
I value creating a space where people can feel safe enough to slow down, be themselves, and feel genuinely understood. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real human connection; built on trust, respect, and a steady sense of care. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity about each person’s unique experience, rather than assumptions or quick judgments. I aim to meet you where you are, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply unsure of what you need right now. I pay close attention not only to what you’re going through, but also to the strengths, values, and inner resources that have helped you get through difficult moments. Therapy with me is not about having everything figured out; it’s about making sense of things together at a pace that feels manageable and safe. I bring a thoughtful approach that balances support with insight. At times, this may include reflecting patterns you might not have noticed before or inviting new perspectives when it feels helpful. I often share practical tools, strategies, and resources from evidence-based and relational practices that can support you outside of sessions and help translate insight into everyday life. At the heart of my work is the belief that people don’t have to go through things alone. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or a general sense that something feels off, therapy can be a place to feel more grounded, connected, and understood. My hope is that our work together helps you build clarity, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of direction in your life. If you’re looking for a space where you can show up as you are and be met with warmth, care, and thoughtful guidance, I would be honored to create that space.
The first therapy session is designed to help clients feel comfortable and supported as they begin the therapeutic process. Rather than feeling like an interview, the session unfolds through natural conversation, allowing space to build rapport, establish trust, and get to know one another at a comfortable pace. Clients are encouraged to share what brings them to therapy, their current concerns, and any goals they may have, while knowing there is no pressure to tell their entire story all at once. Throughout the session, I focus on listening carefully and seeking to understand each client's unique experiences, challenges, and strengths. My goal is to ensure clients feel heard, validated, and understood while creating a safe environment where they can speak openly and honestly. Questions are used thoughtfully to deepen understanding and help identify important themes without overwhelming the process. Through curiosity, warmth, and occasional humor, I strive to make the therapy space feel human and authentic. We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you'd like to be different in your life, while also recognizing the strengths and resilience that have helped you get this far. By the end of the session, we work together to develop a collaborative plan for moving forward. This may include identifying initial goals, discussing potential therapeutic approaches, and exploring resources or strategies that may be helpful between sessions. Clients leave with a clearer sense of what therapy may look like, what to expect from our work together, and the confidence that we are approaching their concerns as a team.
I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. My approach is grounded in warmth, authenticity, and genuine curiosity, creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and accepted. I strive to build trusting connections that allow clients to explore both their strengths and their challenges with openness and confidence. One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to connect with people in a way that feels natural and collaborative. I bring empathy and compassion to difficult conversations while also using humor thoughtfully to help clients feel more at ease, gain perspective, and find moments of lightness amid life's challenges. I believe laughter can be a powerful tool for connection and healing when used with care and intention. At the same time, I am not afraid to gently challenge clients when it serves their growth. I value honest, thoughtful conversations that help clients recognize patterns, consider new perspectives, and move toward meaningful change. My goal is to balance support with insight, helping clients feel both encouraged and empowered as they work toward greater self-understanding and well-being. I also place a strong emphasis on providing practical tools and resources that clients can use outside of therapy. Whether through psychoeducation, skill-building exercises, recommended readings, or community resources, I aim to equip clients with strategies that support their goals and foster lasting growth. I believe that therapy is most effective when insights gained in session can be integrated into everyday life. My therapeutic work is informed by a range of evidence-based and relational approaches, allowing me to tailor interventions to each client's unique needs and experiences. Drawing from modalities such as attachment-based therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), relational therapy, compassion-focused approaches, and other strengths-based interventions, I support clients in developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and healthier relationships. Above all, I seek to create a therapeutic experience that is collaborative, engaging, and empowering; one where clients feel supported while also being encouraged to grow in meaningful and sustainable ways.
I work with individuals who are ready to engage in meaningful reflection and personal development. Whether you're exploring your identity, navigating relationships, or processing family dynamics, therapy can offer a supportive space to do this work. I collaborate with many clients navigating life transitions, especially related to identity exploration, self-discovery, and relationship changes. Through this work, we uncover parts that have been pushed to the shadows, develop skills to navigate difficult changes, and allow you to become a more whole and integrated version of yourself. This process will help to release suffering and access more ease. As a relational therapist, I view clients holistically, not simply in the context of their concerns. My approach focuses on exploring and examining beliefs, values, and intersecting identities. Through a collaborative and compassionate approach, I offer a warm space for reflection, growth, and clarity where clients feel supported, empowered, and heard. I’m here to support you in creating intentional shifts that reflect your values and vision for life.
I identify as
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
nternal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of therapy that helps people understand the different thoughts and feelings they experience. It encourages people to approach difficult emotions with curiosity and kindness instead of judgment. In therapy, clients learn to explore the reasons behind their reactions and behaviors, often discovering that these responses developed to help them cope with challenges. The goal is to build greater self-understanding, reduce emotional distress, and support healthier ways of responding to life's difficulties.
Relational
Relational therapy is a type of counseling that focuses on how relationships shape a person's thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It helps clients explore patterns in their interactions with others and how these patterns may affect their well-being. The therapist and client work together to build a trusting relationship, which can provide insight into how the client relates to people in their everyday life. The goal is to improve self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and support emotional growth.
Attachment-based
Attachment-based therapy is a type of counseling that focuses on how early relationships and life experiences influence the way people connect with others. It helps clients understand patterns in their relationships, including difficulties with trust, closeness, or emotional security. Through a supportive relationship with the therapist, clients can explore these experiences and develop healthier ways of relating to others. The goal is to build stronger relationships, increase emotional well-being, and create a greater sense of security and connection.
Compassion Focused
Compassion-focused counseling helps people develop a kinder and more understanding relationship with themselves. It is especially useful for individuals who struggle with self-criticism, shame, or feelings of inadequacy. In therapy, clients learn skills to respond to difficult thoughts and emotions with compassion rather than harsh judgment. The goal is to improve emotional well-being, build self-acceptance, and increase resilience during challenging situations.
Sex Therapy
Sex therapy is a type of counseling that helps individuals and couples address concerns related to intimacy, sexual health, and relationships. It provides a safe and supportive space to discuss challenges, improve communication, and better understand sexual needs and concerns. Clients may explore emotional, relational, or physical factors that affect their experiences. The goal is to enhance well-being, strengthen relationships, and support a healthy and satisfying intimate life.
