LMHC, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience helping clients facing some of the most severe mental health challenges. Most of my career has been dedicated to working in inpatient and residential settings, where I’ve guided individuals through some of their most difficult moments. I take pride in helping clients find relief from their struggles and distress, empowering them to create meaningful, positive, and fulfilling lives.
In our first therapy session, my focus will be on getting to know you and building a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your struggles. Together, we’ll begin developing a treatment plan tailored to your needs so we can work effectively toward your goals and overall healing.
My therapeutic experience has been shaped by working with clients facing some of the most clinically distressing struggles, which has strengthened my ability to provide effective, compassionate care. I draw on a wide range of specialties and evidence-based interventions—including EMDR, CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and more. These approaches allow me to meet each client where they are, tailoring treatment to their unique needs. I have confidence in my clinical skills and training, and my goal is always to help clients find relief from their distress, build resilience, and create lasting positive change in their lives.
Trust me—I understand mental health struggles not just professionally, but personally as well. My path to becoming a therapist was deeply influenced by my mother’s challenges with mental health and my own battles with depression and anxiety. Through years of therapy, I found resilience and healing, and that journey inspired my mission to help others discover hope and recovery. Today, I tailor each therapeutic intervention to meet the unique needs of every client I work with.
I am a Certified EMDR Therapist who specializes in using this evidence-based approach to help individuals heal from the emotional pain of trauma, grief, and loss. Through EMDR, I guide clients in reducing the intensity of distressing memories, sadness, and negative beliefs so they can experience greater emotional balance, resilience, and peace in their daily lives.
I use evidence-based therapeutic interventions to treat depression by focusing on both the emotional and cognitive aspects of the disorder. One of the primary approaches I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is one of the most effective and well-researched treatments for depression. Through CBT, I help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns while developing healthier ways of thinking and coping, leading to lasting improvements in mood and daily functioning.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. In my practice, I guide clients in applying these tools to manage overwhelming emotions, improve relationships, and stay grounded during moments of crisis. DBT is especially helpful for clients who struggle with intense emotions, impulsivity, or feeling “out of control,” and I tailor the skills to meet each client’s unique needs.
I utilize a specialized EMDR grief protocol designed to address both acute and prolonged grief. This approach helps clients process the painful emotions connected to loss—whether from the passing of a loved one, divorce, job loss, or other life changes. By targeting the distress at its core, EMDR reduces emotional pain and supports clients in finding healing and a renewed sense of peace.
I offer small, safe support groups at no charge, creating a supportive space for healing and connection. These groups focus on topics such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and grief, as well as educational groups for family members of loved ones struggling with mental health or addiction. Each week, I invite a guest speaker to share their expertise or personal recovery journey, providing valuable education and inspiration for the group.
