LMFT, 24 years of experience
Hi! I am Stacy McCarty-Nash, but just Stacy will do! I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Supervisor (LMFT-S) and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor/Mentor. I have been practicing therapy for 24+ years after earning my Master of Science (MS) degree from Friends University. I am licensed in Virginia, Texas, and Florida. My niche is working with culturally diverse individuals struggling with relationship distress, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. My mission is to nurture emotional well-being and help you heal and grow one step at a time.
In our first session, we’ll focus on creating a comfortable, supportive space where you can share your concerns and hopes. Together, we’ll identify your goals and begin shaping a personalized path forward. This is the start of your personal journey, and my goal is to walk alongside you as you step into the next chapter of your life with clarity, confidence, and purpose
I understand that every person’s story is unique, which is why I tailor my approach to fit your individual needs. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, or other challenges, we’ll work together to uncover what’s beneath the surface, highlight your strengths, and find new ways of thinking and responding that support a healthier, more fulfilling life.
It is my belief we all experience challenging moments in life. During these times we often need a non-judgmental perspective to help work through those moments. It is my goal as a therapist to help you find the skills to remove the barriers that are preventing you from leading a happy and healthy life. My training as an MFT allows me to utilize a systemic approach when working with others, which means we can talk about how everything and everyone around you impacts your life. The goal is to empower you to establish healthy relationships and boundaries with yourself, and those in your life so you can be the best you!
I focus on helping you build secure and meaningful emotional bonds that strengthen both your relationships and your personal growth. By gently exploring attachment styles and relational patterns, we can uncover what may be holding you back and create new ways of connecting. My goal is to support you in developing healthier, more fulfilling relationships while fostering emotional resilience and confidence within yourself.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to self-esteem issues, relationship distress, and poor boundaries. By developing healthier thinking habits and coping strategies, clients can improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) can help you if you’re struggling with self-esteem, relationship stress, or setting healthy boundaries. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns that keep you feeling disconnected and reshape them into healthier, more supportive ways of relating. Through this gentle, attachment-based approach, you’ll strengthen your emotional bonds, grow in self-awareness, and create relationships that feel safe, secure, and deeply fulfilling.
Motivational Interviewing helps you work through uncertainty and find clarity about the changes you want in your life and relationships. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths and build the motivation you need to create meaningful, lasting growth.
Narrative Therapy helps you see that you are not your problems—your struggles don’t define who you are. Together, we’ll explore new perspectives that empower you to rewrite your story in a way that reflects your strengths, values, and hopes. This process allows you to challenge limiting beliefs, build confidence, and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
