Hello! My name is Gabby! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have been practicing clinical work for six years. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, or just feeling stuck, therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. I take a real, human approach to this work: supportive, honest, and when appropriate — yes, even a little humor. Life is hard enough; therapy doesn’t need to be.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our initial session, we will take the time to get to know each other through introductions and addressing any questions you might have. I will ask open-ended questions to understand your reasons for seeking treatment, and based on your responses, I will develop a personalized treatment plan. I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have become more attuned to the daily struggles people face. I’ve developed skills in cultural competence and empathy, allowing me to treat each individual with care and respect.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with adults of all ages who sometimes feel that anxiety, stress, or life changes are hindering their happiness. Being part of their journey to rediscover their passions is truly fulfilling for me.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strength-based techniques to help you identify patterns, shift your thinking, and build practical tools you can actually use in your daily life. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself — no need to perform, impress, or explain away your emotions. In our work together, I’ll help you notice unhelpful thought patterns (like worst-case-scenario thinking, harsh self-criticism, or assumptions about others), and we’ll explore where those thoughts come from. Then, we’ll practice reshaping them into something more balanced, realistic, and supportive — something that actually helps you feel and function better. Most importantly, CBT is collaborative. You’re the expert on your life — I’m just here to guide the process, ask the right questions, and help you find meaningful solutions.
Strength-Based
My clinical approach of utilizing a strength-based perspective emphasizes the identification and utilization of clients’ inherent abilities and resilience throughout the therapeutic process. I focus on helping clients recognize their existing coping skills, personal values, and sources of support as tools for growth and recovery. I collaboratively work with clients to reframe challenges as opportunities for empowerment and self-discovery.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
My therapeutic approach integrates mindfulness-based interventions to help clients increase awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. I emphasize cultivating nonjudgmental awareness and acceptance as tools for emotional regulation and distress tolerance. Through guided mindfulness exercises—such as focused breathing, grounding, and body awareness—I support clients in developing greater self-awareness and the ability to respond to stressors with intention rather than reactivity.
