As a California Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in supporting adult individuals navigating all that goes with life transitions, anxiety, and depression. My therapeutic approach is geared towards guiding you through a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, ultimately helping you become the best version of yourself. Through my expertise and compassionate counseling, I provide a safe space for you to address and overcome challenges, fostering positive change and emotional well-being in your life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions to establish a comfortable and collaborative therapeutic space. Following this, we'll delve into the specific challenges you're currently facing. Your unique experiences and concerns will guide our conversation, allowing me to gain valuable insights. This initial exploration will lay the foundation for a personalized and targeted plan that we can collaboratively address in subsequent sessions, fostering a path towards growth, resilience, and positive change.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My strength as a provider lies in my mindful, attuned, and empathic presence within the therapeutic space. Recognizing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all, I bring a tailored and personalized touch to the work we will do together. My ability to meet clients exactly where they are in their unique journeys fosters a sense of understanding and trust, creating a supportive environment for growth and self-discovery. This mindful and individualized approach sets the stage for a collaborative and effective therapeutic relationship.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have a distinct passion for working with a diverse range of clients, including adults, women in mid-life, individuals over 65, and young adults navigating life transitions. My tailored approach is characterized by empathy and understanding, as I work to help each client work through unique challenges and transformations. By focusing on these specific demographics, I contribute to the well-being and resilience of individuals across various stages of life, fostering meaningful connections and positive outcomes in their personal journeys.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
For the last five years, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been one of my go to methods of treatment. We will use the tools within the CBT framework to recognize and change the interactions of your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. The process of thought restructuring has the power to help you live a less anxious and stressed life.
EMDR
As summarized on the EMDRIA website: “Stress responses are part of our natural fight, flight, or freeze instincts. When distress from a disturbing event remains, the upsetting images, thoughts, and emotions may create an overwhelming feeling of being back in that moment, or of being ‘frozen in time.’ EMDR therapy helps the brain process these memories, and allows normal healing to resume. The experience is still remembered, but the fight, flight, or freeze response from the original event is resolved.”
Gottman method
Have you been struggling to communicate effectively? Have you been experiencing a lot of conflict in your personal relationships? The Gottman method encompasses a range of tools that are broad and deep, having the power to transform relational experiences.
