Taimaris Mas Marante
Hi, I’m Taimaris Mas Marante, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and founder of Interactive Psychiatry. I am a bilingual provider fluent in English and Spanish, and I am also a foreign physician who graduated from medical school in Cuba with prior experience as an anesthesiologist. I provide compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care for teenagers, adults, and older adults through medication management and supportive therapeutic approaches. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment journey toward emotional wellness and improved quality of life.
First session
During the first session, patients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment where we will discuss their current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. My focus is on understanding the whole person, not just the symptoms. Together, we will review treatment options, which may include medication management, education, coping strategies, and ongoing follow-up care. My goal is for patients to feel heard, comfortable, and actively involved in their treatment plan from the very beginning.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths is combining medical knowledge with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. As a bilingual provider and foreign physician trained in Cuba, I bring a culturally sensitive perspective and strong clinical foundation to psychiatric care. I focus on helping patients feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in their treatment while providing thoughtful medication management and supportive guidance. I strive to build trust with patients and create a collaborative environment focused on long-term emotional wellness and stability.
Ideal clients
I work best with teenagers, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, panic attacks, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, stress, and life transitions. I provide compassionate, culturally sensitive psychiatric care focused on medication management, education, and supportive guidance. My goal is to help patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment while working toward emotional stability and improved daily functioning.
Treatment methods
Motivational Interviewing
I provide psychiatric medication management while incorporating motivational interviewing techniques to help patients explore goals, improve treatment engagement, strengthen coping skills, and support positive behavioral change as part of their overall mental health care.
