As a first-generation therapist, I am rooted in my Hispanic heritage, culture, and faith. Native to Puerto Rico and raised in South Florida. Fueled by the desire to help people and walk alongside them, I chose to pursue a career in mental health counseling. We all have battles we’re fighting, why do it alone? Together we will empower you to reach your goals.
In our first session clients can expect brief introductions, then dive into specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.
My biggest strength would lie in my extensive training in trauma focused CBT working with at risk children in an emergency shelter along side my wide range of experience with couples, young adults, adolescents, and children that I worked with during my time in community based agencies. This experience has allowed me to work with a wide range of cultures, challenges and diverse backgrounds to become a more well rounded and effective clinician.
This was my one of the primary modalities of training during my graduate studies allowing me to be proficient in its implementation with clients.
Several years of training in trauma centers has allowed the experience to use this modalities when processing and working through trauma.
With this modality we focus on solutions to areas of concern that are affecting daily life. This is a brief treatment approach with the sole focus of helping clients return to their baseline of functioning.
