About me

Hi, I’m Diann. I work with ambitious women who look like they have it all together but are secretly running on empty. You’re juggling careers, kids, and responsibilities everyone else depends on—yet inside, you feel anxious, burned out, and stuck in cycles of overthinking. You’ve tried managing it on your own, but the stress and self-doubt keep coming back. Therapy with me is a partnership—compassionate, strategic, and real. I blend the structure of CBT, the deep healing of EMDR, and the forward-motion of solution-focused therapy. Together, we’ll untangle patterns, shift beliefs, and build tools that actually stick—not just in theory, but in your everyday life. This isn’t endless talking in circles. My approach is modern, trauma-informed, and tailored to you. We’ll laugh, process, challenge old narratives, and create meaningful change that frees up your energy—for your work, your relationships, and yourself. If you’re ready to trade chaos for clarity and pressure for peace, I’d love to help you get there.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment where we’ll begin by getting to know each other. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy and explore your goals, challenges, and what you hope to achieve. I’ll ask questions to better understand your needs and concerns, and we’ll work together to create a plan for our future sessions. My goal is to make sure you feel heard, comfortable, and supported from the very beginning, so we can start building a path forward that aligns with your personal growth and healing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. With training in trauma-focused CBT and experience working with at-risk children, couples, and individuals from diverse backgrounds, I understand the complexities of trauma and life transitions. I take a collaborative approach, adapting to each client’s unique needs, whether it's setting boundaries, managing emotions, or navigating life’s challenges. My goal is always to empower clients to move forward with confidence and healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is an evidence-based treatment method focused on helping clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and actions are interconnected and how negative or distorted thinking can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, or other challenges. I work collaboratively with clients to identify specific negative thought patterns, such as catastrophizing or all-or-nothing thinking, and help them reframe these thoughts into more balanced and realistic perspectives. In addition to addressing thoughts, we also focus on behavioral changes by identifying patterns of avoidance or unhealthy coping strategies and replacing them with more adaptive behaviors. I use a variety of CBT tools, such as thought records, behavioral activation, and exposure techniques, to support clients in making meaningful changes. My goal with CBT is to equip clients with practical skills that they can apply both during and outside of sessions, empowering them to take control of their emotional health and make lasting changes

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have extensive experience with Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. I’ve used it to help clients reframe negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and gradually reduce the emotional impact of past experiences. I focus on both cognitive restructuring (challenging unhelpful thoughts) and behavioral strategies (learning new coping skills and actions). In my practice, I tailor these techniques to meet each client’s unique needs, helping them process their experiences at their own pace while fostering empowerment and healing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have experience with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a practical and goal-oriented treatment approach that focuses on finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems. In my practice, I use SFBT to help clients shift their focus from what isn't working to what they are already doing well and how they can build on those strengths to create meaningful change. SFBT is particularly useful for clients who want to make progress quickly or are looking for actionable steps to improve their current situation. I guide clients to identify their goals, explore exceptions to their difficulties (times when the issue isn’t as intense), and recognize the resources they already have within themselves to move forward. Rather than exploring the root causes of issues in-depth, we focus on envisioning a positive future and taking small, manageable steps toward that vision. I use techniques like miracle questions, scaling questions, and looking for exceptions, which help clients see their progress and tap into their inner strengths. In my practice, SFBT works well for clients who are motivated and ready to take action, and it allows for quick, focused changes that improve day-to-day functioning

EMDR

I integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) techniques for clients who are processing more complex trauma. EMDR is an approach that helps clients reprocess distressing memories by using bilateral stimulation (e.g., eye movements or taps), allowing the brain to process memories in a healthier way. I’ve found this approach to be particularly helpful for clients who are struggling with intrusive thoughts or emotional blocks related to past trauma. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can heal at their own pace, utilizing a combination of these techniques to ensure lasting change and emotional growth
