Life is hard. In this fast-paced world, we rarely take time to take care of ourselves. We end up exhausted and unhappy, feeling alone in our struggles. If you’re reading this it means you’re thinking of making a change and I’m here to help guide you and support you. With over 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and children I provide a warm and nonjudgmental place, helping clients to tap into their strengths, understand and express their emotions, and accept and love themselves. The process of change begins with taking small steps. I invite you to take that first step, of making an appointment to explore what possibilities of insight and change lie ahead.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and collaborative space where we begin getting to know each other. We’ll explore what brings them to therapy, their concerns, and their goals. I’ll ask questions to better understand their experiences. This session is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions and get a sense of how we might work together. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where they feel heard and understood as we begin their journey toward growth and healing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a therapist? I keep it real, listen without judgment, and create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel truly heard and understood. Whether they’re navigating relationships, anxiety, trauma, or life just feeling like too much, I tailor my approach to meet their unique needs. I balance warmth with practical, evidence-based strategies to help clients gain insight, build emotional resilience, and make meaningful changes. And when it fits, I use humor—because sometimes, laughter is part of healing. My goal is for clients to feel supported, empowered, and equipped to create lasting change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work best with individuals who are ready to explore their challenges and make meaningful changes. Whether they’re navigating relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions, I provide a supportive, down-to-earth approach that blends warmth, practicality, and humor. I’m especially well-suited for clients who appreciate a therapist who is direct yet compassionate—someone who will listen without judgment, offer insight, and provide real, actionable strategies to help them move forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients manage anxiety, depression, and life stressors by identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. With anxiety, I work on recognizing cognitive distortions—like catastrophizing or excessive worry—and developing coping strategies such as mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and gradual exposure to fears. For depression, I help clients challenge negative self-beliefs, increase engagement in meaningful activities, and build healthier behavioral patterns that support emotional well-being. When it comes to life stressors, I use CBT to help clients reframe overwhelming situations, develop problem-solving skills, and build resilience.

Trauma Informed Care

For clients with trauma histories, I use TF-CBT to provide a structured, supportive approach that helps them process their experiences in a safe way. This includes psychoeducation, emotional regulation skills, and gradual exposure to traumatic memories to reduce distress and build resilience.
