Jamie Benjamin
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Kentucky. I have seven years of experience in both a clinical and a high school setting working with clients from the ages of 11-76. Being a counselor in the school setting has been one of the most important and meaningful roles of my life. I enjoy working with adolescents, teenagers, and young adults and want to be a support as they navigate the school environment, peer interaction, family issues, and the development of their self. I am comfortable working with all ages, races, and genders and love to learn about my client's beliefs and ideologies. I believe that we are all here to help each other and learn from one another. My goal is to help each client create and live a life that they love.
First session
My primary goal is to form a meaningful, professional relationship with each of my clients and to help them set and achieve goals for themselves. My hope is that every person that I speak with walks away from a session feeling heard, understood and accepted.
Strengths
My biggest strength is that I genuinely care about each client and want to form a meaningful therapeutic relationship in order to help them achieve their goals. I am nonjudgmental and open-minded and enjoy learning about their life and helping them build their future.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with adolescents, teens, and young adults. I also like to work with the LGBTQ population.
