New to Grow
Hi, I’m Stephanie. I’m a therapist who is passionate about helping people better understand themselves and create meaningful, lasting change. I work with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or unsure how to move forward, and I provide a space that is both supportive and honest. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and practical. I want you to feel comfortable being real, while also walking away with tools and insight you can actually use in your everyday life. I believe growth happens when we feel both seen and challenged, and I aim to create that balance in our work together.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions going into your first session. My goal is to make this process feel as comfortable and straightforward as possible. In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know you—what’s been going on, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you’re hoping to get out of it. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and any patterns you’ve been noticing, but there’s no pressure to share everything all at once. We’ll also talk about what working together could look like, including your goals and how I can best support you. You’ll have space to ask questions and get a feel for my style to see if it feels like a good fit. This first session is really about building comfort, clarity, and connection—so you can leave feeling understood and with a better sense of where we’re headed next.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my honesty and directness. I won’t just sit back and nod—I’m here to help you see what’s really going on, even when it’s hard. That said, I’m intentional about how I show up. My goal is to be both honest and supportive, so you feel challenged without feeling judged. I’m especially good at helping clients identify patterns they may not see on their own and getting to the root of what’s keeping them stuck. I combine straightforward feedback with practical tools, so you’re not just talking about problems—you’re actively working toward change. If you’re looking for a therapist who will be real with you, while still creating a safe and respectful space, we’ll likely be a good fit.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who are ready to better understand themselves and are open to growth, even if they’re not exactly sure where to start. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break, or weighed down by anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, or the pressure of trying to “hold it all together.” Often, my clients are insightful and self-aware, but still find themselves caught in cycles of negative thinking or emotional reactivity that impact their daily lives. My approach is a good fit for those who want more than just a place to vent. If you’re looking for practical tools, honest conversations, and a deeper understanding of what’s driving your thoughts and behaviors, we’ll work well together. I value clients who are willing to be curious, reflect, and gently challenge themselves in the process. At the same time, you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Part of the work we do together is creating clarity, building confidence, and helping you feel more grounded and in control.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as one of the main approaches in my work with clients. At its core, CBT helps us understand how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected—and how shifting one can create meaningful change in the others. In sessions, I help clients slow down and notice the patterns that tend to show up, especially during stressful or overwhelming moments. Together, we look at the thoughts driving those feelings and gently challenge anything that may be unhelpful or not fully accurate. From there, we work on building more balanced ways of thinking and practical tools to respond differently. My approach to CBT is collaborative and down-to-earth. I’m not just here to give you techniques—I want you to actually understand what’s happening in your mind and feel confident applying these tools in your everyday life. While CBT offers helpful structure, I always tailor it to you so it feels supportive, relevant, and sustainable.
