Brianna Moroni

LMHC (she/her)5 years of experience

My name is Brianna Moroni, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I have experience working with diverse populations and supporting individuals facing a variety of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, women's issues, and relationship challenges. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and empowering. I believe that meaningful change occurs when clients feel supported, understood, and actively involved in their treatment. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, develop greater self-awareness, and build upon their existing strengths. I also believe that achieving balance and overall well-being begins with intentional self-care and small, sustainable changes that support larger personal goals. My work is grounded in a person-centered approach, which means that therapy is tailored to your unique needs, values, and goals. You set the pace, and together we work toward meaningful growth in a way that feels comfortable, secure, and aligned with your vision for your life.

First session

My goal for our first session is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and welcomed in the therapeutic process. Therapy is your space, and I want it to feel safe and collaborative from the very beginning. During our initial meeting, we will spend some time getting to know one another, building rapport, and discussing what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. I am interested in hearing your story, understanding your experiences, and learning about your goals for treatment. While I may ask questions to gather important background information, we will always move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is built on trust, respect, and open communication. My approach is collaborative, and I view therapy as a partnership where we work together to support your growth, healing, and overall well-being.

Strengths

As a therapist, my greatest strengths include creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to be themselves. I prioritize building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, authenticity, and collaboration. I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives, and I strive to empower them by honoring their unique experiences, strengths, and personal goals. My approach is person-centered and tailored to each individual's needs, allowing clients to guide the therapeutic process while receiving compassionate support and professional guidance. I am skilled at helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, and women's issues. I value helping clients identify practical, achievable steps toward meaningful change while maintaining a focus on overall balance, self-care, and long-term well-being. Clients often appreciate my ability to meet them where they are, move at a pace that feels comfortable, and foster a sense of partnership throughout treatment. By combining empathy, active listening, and evidence-based interventions, I help clients gain insight, build resilience, and develop the confidence needed to create lasting and meaningful change in their lives.

Ideal clients

Clients I find I work best with are women who are navigating significant life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, or other stressors that may be impacting their overall well-being. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to engage in the therapeutic process and are open to making gradual, meaningful changes that align with their personal values and life goals. Whether they are adjusting to a new phase of life, seeking healthier relationships, building coping skills, or working toward greater self-understanding, I strive to provide a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where they can develop insight, resilience, and confidence in creating the life they want.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT offers great tools to help with challenging any maladaptive thinking, this could include depressive thoughts, anxious thoughts, self-doubt, etc. CBT is used to help gain an understanding of where negative thoughts and behaviors come from and what we can do with them.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is based on four modules that are a great help when working on mental health: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation & distress tolerance. Along with great coping skills DBT offers dialectics, which really just help us to acknowledge where we need work while allowing room for self-compassion.

Interpersonal

Interpersonal therapy methods help us the most when relating to other people is difficult or many of our stressors come from our relationships. Interpersonal therapy is used to better understand ourselves in relation to others and better understand the relationships we choose to engage in.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT is best for those who need support identifying, validating, and expressing emotions. Emotions can leave us in vulnerable place but also offer so much information about how we view ourselves, others, and the world.

Supportive

Offering support is something that will always be present in session, but Supportive therapy methods can be best for those who need help simply processing. Not everyone has a support outlet or can talk to their support outlet about everything, this therapeutic approach offers space for that.
