(she/her)
**Hello and welcome!** I’m so glad you’ve taken the courageous step toward seeking support. My name is Tabetha, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based out of Kentucky. With a Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati and 18 years of experience in the field. I have worked in a variety of settings primarily with adolescents and young adults.
During a your first appointment, you can expect to start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. I will gather information about your history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. This session is typically focused on building rapport, understanding the your needs, and creating a plan for treatment. While the first session may feel more like a conversation, it sets the foundation for future sessions where deeper work will take place.
As a therapist with years of experience, I offer a compassionate and approachable style, creating a genuine and comfortable space for open conversation.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and the development of healthy coping skills. My approach is grounded in empathy, support, and creating a safe space where you can feel heard and understood. I am here to help you find the strength, resilience, and sense of belonging you deserve.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured psychotherapy that helps individuals change negative thought patterns, behaviors, and emotions. It works on the principle that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and by changing negative thinking, we can improve emotional and behavioral outcomes. As a CBT therapist I am familiar with the process of identifying issues, exploring negative thought patterns, implementing new strategies, and tracking progress. I can guide you through CBT techniques by identifying negative thoughts, suggesting behavioral changes, or offering stress-reduction exercises.
