Hi there! My name is Stacey Jones and I am a licensed clinical therapist based in Illinois. I am licensed in both Illinois (LCPC) and Indiana (LMHC). I graduated with my Masters Degree from Saint Xavier University in Chicago in 2014. I have been practicing in the mental health field for over a decade with experience working in community mental health, private practice and education based settings. I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment that allow my clients to feel comfortable beginning their healing process. My treatment approach is a collaborative one that focuses on clients’ strengths and goals. My goal is for clients to leave therapy feeling empowered with the insight and tools they need to allow them to thrive in life. I help adults of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma to make positive and meaningful changes in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session together will consist of introductions and information gathering. I will share relevant information about me and my approach to therapy. Then we will dive into what has brought you to counseling and how I can best be of support. Together we will identify the most important areas to focus on in our time together. Lastly we will collaborate on goals to work towards in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, some of my strengths are compassion and empathy. My ability to meet you where you are and hold space as we walk together on your journey towards improved mental health. I will also challenge you to grow through life's difficulties, empowering you to become the best version of yourself.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is used to identify, examine and reframe limiting beliefs that may be negatively impacting your ability to cope with life's difficulties in a healthy manner. We'll work together to help you decrease those unhelpful thoughts and lessen your stress and anxiety,

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

My professional background is largely in working with individuals dealing with past/present trauma of all types. The type of therapy I most commonly use is Cognitive Processing Therapy. I find CPT to be helpful by providing tools to help process and move forward from those traumatic experiences.
