New to Grow
I'm Kierra Allen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia. I have over 9 years of experience in social services and healthcare. I specialize in supporting individuals facing the stress and ambiguity of major health changes. Additionally, I guide and empower people transitioning into caregiving roles for family or friends, helping them adapt to these new responsibilities. Together, we navigate the emotional and practical challenges of healthcare shifts to foster resilience and true balance for both the clients and their loved ones.
Our first session is a conversation. I want to understand who you are, what brought you here, and what you are hoping is possible on the other side of this work. I will ask questions — some about your current concerns, some about your history and context.
My greatest strength is my ability to see the whole person — not just the symptoms they present with, but the systems, histories, and environments that shaped them. I utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy) to meet the client's needs.
My ideal therapy clients are individuals navigating the stress and anxiety of significant health transitions. I also specialize in supporting people adjusting to the complex, demanding role of caregiving for family or friends. Together, we address the emotional toll, uncertainty, and lifestyle disruptions of these changes, building coping strategies to restore personal well-being while caring for yourself or others. If you are done managing and ready to start designing something different, we are probably a good fit.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Managing chronic symptoms often triggers patterns of catastrophic thinking, anxiety, and profound feelings of helplessness. Through structured Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we will actively identify these unhelpful thought patterns and implement targeted behavioral changes, such as pacing and mindfulness, to break the cycle of physical distress and emotional suffering. Together, we will work to reframe your relationship with your illness, safely increase your daily engagement in meaningful activities, and build practical coping strategies to significantly reduce depression and illness-related anxiety, ultimately helping you reclaim a high quality of life.
