My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Understanding maladaptive thinking can create difficulty in daily living. I will help you identify distorted thoughts, reframe them with healthier thoughts. You will be provided skills, psychoeducation, coping techniques, and assignments to strengthen your ability to reframe thought, challenge negative thoughts, and gain confidence in yourself. I have provided CBT to clients over 7 years who report it changed their lives and now they are able to discern what they allow themselves to believe and what they disregard.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I help individuals who have experienced traumatic events. I provide a type of psychotherapy that helps people recover from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and related conditions that have them stuck regain the ability to move forward. include self-blame, shame, and hindsight bias. I will assist in challenging unhelpful beliefs related to the trauma, such as those related to safety, trust, power and control, esteem, and intimacy. I utilize Evidenced Based therapy techniques that are based on the The veteran/military version of the therapist's manual for Cognitive Processing Therapy.

Grief Therapy

Grief may be derived from loss of a person, pet, or job, to death, divorce. Significant people in your life are no longer there, and you feel lost, lonely, confused, and stuck. I will help you evaluate, identify, and resolve your inability to move forward to a happier productive life utilizing a combination of Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT) & Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
