(she/her)
My path to who I am today — a culturally responsive, integrative, and creative practitioner — was a journey of becoming the change that I sought in the world. As a seasoned medical social worker, I realized that there was a particular need for therapists who were interested in helping those who constantly faced discrimination and health disparities. I started my company, Clinicians of the Diaspora, four years ago and have been able to promote access to equitable mental health to over 100 clients. I have discovered a particular niche in providing support to Black highly successful women. These individuals face unique challenges and I strive to create a safe and empowering space where they can explore their experiences, navigate their identities, and address any emotional or psychological barriers they may encounter. I am excited to expand this reach by joining Grow Therapy
In our first session, we review what has been coming up for you, what has inspired you ro start therapy and what does success look for you in terms of therapy.
I believe in approaching therapy holistically, drawing from different therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed approaches, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). These approaches allow me to tailor my interventions to meet the specific needs of each client.
y prior experience as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) has uniquely positioned me to provide mindset coaching to clients. Through my work with diverse populations, particularly successful women, I have gained valuable insights into the intersection of psychological well-being, cultural identity, and personal empowerment. As an LCSW, I have honed my skills in understanding and addressing the underlying emotional and psychological factors that influence mindset. I recognize that mindset plays a crucial role in shaping our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. By combining my clinical expertise with a focus on mindset coaching, I can help clients navigate their inner landscapes and develop a more positive, resilient, and growth-oriented mindset.
I have been highly successful with clients who are women and identify as a POC who are seeking mindset coaching, solution driven skills and counseling. I specialize in working with clients who have previous therapy experience and are seeking support for personal growth and development. My approach is well-suited for individuals who are ready to engage in a collaborative process, build upon their existing self-awareness, and explore ways to enhance their well-being. By focusing on clients with previous therapy experience, I aim to create a specialized and tailored therapeutic environment that aligns with their specific needs and goals. This allows me to provide support to individuals who may be seeking assistance with enhancing their self-care practices, navigating life transitions, improving relationship skills, or exploring personal values and aspirations.
