New to Grow
Hello, my name is Shany Shaji, and I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. I support individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, postpartum mental health concerns, trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD, and life transitions. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to share your thoughts and emotions. My approach combines medication management with supportive therapy, allowing us to address both the emotional and physical aspects of mental health. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward feeling more balanced, supported, and in control of your well-being.
In our first session, we will have a relaxed and open conversation about what brought you to seek support. I will ask about your current concerns, mental health history, lifestyle, and any past treatments to better understand your full picture. This is also your time to share your goals and what you hope to get out of care. Together, we will begin building a personalized plan that may include therapy, lifestyle changes, and medication options if needed. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable every step of the way.
I take a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. I understand that each person’s experiences and background are unique, and I tailor my approach to fit your individual needs. With my background in nursing and mental health, I focus on safe, evidence-based care while also making sure you feel supported and understood. I aim to create a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment, and where we can work together to find practical and meaningful solutions.
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to take an active role in improving their mental health and overall well-being. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am best positioned to serve people experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood changes, stress, life transitions, or difficulty managing daily functioning. Many of my clients are motivated to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and find effective treatment options that may include therapy, medication management, or a combination of both. I work especially well with clients who value a collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based approach to care, and who are open to building practical skills that support long-term emotional stability and personal growth. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful progress toward their mental health goals.
