New to Grow
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for helping others recognize their own value and discover inner peace. During my career, I have worked in psychiatric and medical hospitals, a sexual assault center, and in an individual therapy setting. Individual therapy has been the path where I have found the most joy as I love providing support and encouragement for my clients and witnessing their personal growth and victories. I will often make our sessions more conversational and use humor often. I strive to make each client feel comfortable and safe.
Our first session together will be full of information gathering on my part as I want to understand as best I can where you are coming from, what challenges you have been facing, and what changes you hope to see.
My approach is grounded in the principle of unconditional positive regard, meaning I consistently offer clients acceptance, respect, and nonjudgmental support regardless of what they are thinking, feeling, or experiencing. I strive to create a safe and collaborative space where clients feel genuinely understood and supported. At the same time, I am not a passive therapist. I value honesty and growth, and I will gently challenge clients when it may be helpful to consider alternative perspectives, patterns, or possibilities. I aim to balance compassion with accountability, helping clients feel both supported and encouraged to make meaningful change. What sets my approach apart is this combination of deep relational safety and active engagement in the therapeutic process—being fully in my clients’ corner while also helping them stretch toward insight, healing, and personal growth.
I enjoy working with open-minded individuals of all ages and ethnicities who are willing to explore new perspectives and therapeutic approaches. My ideal clients are motivated to better understand themselves, develop healthier patterns, and engage actively in the healing process. I am especially passionate about working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. In a time when many individuals are facing increased stress, uncertainty, and challenges related to identity and acceptance, I strive to provide a safe, affirming, and supportive space where clients can feel seen, understood, and empowered. My goal is to help clients build resilience, strengthen self-compassion, and create lives that align with their authentic selves.
