New to Grow
I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and age groups. My community mental health experience has prepared me to support clients through a variety of challenges, including life transitions, depression, anxiety, anger management, and relationship or family conflict. In my work, I value the role of humor in building rapport and creating a supportive therapeutic environment. I strive to remain open-minded and curious, approaching each person’s experience with a willingness to understand and learn. I also view constructive feedback as an important tool for growth and improvement, both personally and professionally.
During our first session, we will explore what has brought you to therapy at this time and what changes you would like to see in your life. We may also take a broader look at your experiences, including the role of family and interpersonal relationships, childhood influences, and significant life events, as you understand them, and how they have shaped your current perspective.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my openness, nonjudgmental approach, and ability to truly listen. Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, and even a bit playful in my use of humor. I take a holistic view of well-being, considering the many personal, relational, and environmental influences that shape who we are.
I find it most effective to work with clients who are open and receptive, willing to tolerate discomfort as part of the change process, and who acknowledge their own agency in creating the lives they want. Clarity of goals is particularly valuable, as is a genuine readiness to engage in the work of therapy.
I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and comfortable therapeutic environment. I take a collaborative approach to treatment, grounded in the belief that the most meaningful outcomes occur when the therapist and client work together as partners in the process. Whether you are new to therapy or have had a difficult experience in the past, I will work with you to ensure your needs are heard and your goals are prioritized. I recognize that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process—each individual’s journey is unique, and treatment should reflect that.
