Hi. I’m Dr. Kimberly, a licensed professional counselor with a Ph.D. in Health Psychology. I have experience treating adults in group and individual settings, utilizing an eclectic assortment of techniques and therapies. My areas of interest are anxiety and mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder. My motto is “carpe diem” (seize the day), and I love working with people to help find solutions while encouraging each person to seize each day as a fresh start. I do not provide couple's therapy. I do not provide therapy to individuals with personality disorders.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT aims to help you identify and explore the ways your emotions and thoughts can affect your actions. Once you notice these patterns, you can begin learning how to change your behaviors and develop new coping strategies.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness interventions help for many psychological difficulties, including depression, anxiety, chronic pain, substance abuse, insomnia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Some of the mindfulness techniques i use are breathing techniques, yoga, meditation, guided imagery.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution focused therapy concentrates on finding solutions in the present and exploring one’s hope for the future in order to find a quick and pragmatic resolution of one’s problems.
