As a clinician, I work from the belief that we are shaped by the people, systems, and environments around us, just as we shape them in return. With this understanding, I am committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. My practice is grounded in a multicultural framework as I support clients navigating relationship challenges, building self esteem and self confidence, and adjusting to major life transitions such as starting college, beginning a career, or adapting to a new environment. I also support individuals working to manage anxiety, depression, and the impact of past trauma. This approach is particularly meaningful for clients balancing multiple cultural identities, including first generation immigrants seeking a space that honors their lived experiences. I integrate mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution focused approaches to help clients stay grounded and present as they work through emotional pain. My work centers on listening deeply, identifying and building on each client’s strengths, and collaborating with them to create meaningful and sustainable change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session can feel challenging, especially when it comes to sharing your story. Because of this, I focus on creating a space where you can speak freely and comfortably, without any pressure to discuss experiences you’re not ready to explore. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to work through, and what your strengths and goals are. I’ll also help you get a sense of how therapy can support you and what our work together might look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Above all my therapeutic approach is focusing on building your confidence in your own ability to meet your goals. I find it important to support you in finding solutions that work well for you the individual first and working at your pace.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who are navigating relationship challenge. Such as difficulties that arise within their families, friendships, romantic partnerships, or broader communities. Many of the people I support are seeking healthier connections, clearer boundaries, and a deeper understanding of themselves in relation to others. A central focus of my work is helping clients build self‑esteem and self‑confidence, especially during life transitions or periods of uncertainty. I support people who are working to find their place, strengthen their identity, and create a sense of belonging. I am also well‑suited to work with clients who benefit from a multicultural and culturally responsive framework, including first‑generation immigrants and those navigating the complexities of balancing multiple cultural identities.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used cognitive behavior therapy in order to help clients to understand and challenge their anxious and depressive thoughts and feelings, build their self-esteem by understanding what they see positively about themselves, and to understand how to process how challenging situations affect them, in order to work on they can control in these situations.

Interpersonal

My use of interpersonal therapy skills has been in order to help clients understand their attachment styles. Particularly how their view of themselves and other people is affected by the interactions that they have. I have worked with clients who struggle with building a trustworthy support system, communicating within their relationships, and in being able to move past traumatic family dynamics so that they can build a community that they can trust and rely on.

Multicultural

I have used multicultural therapy to support my clients in verbalizing and processing the challenges they have faced within the environment they are in, and in creating a space where they can feel open to discussing difficulties related to acculturation, cultural differences between living in the United States and their home country, and being able to build a community that understands them. I also use this skill in my practice to work with clients through developing coping skills that are helpful to their specific needs such as using prayer to help feel more calm, or finding a space where there are others who are from the same country, or understanding how they can comfortably become active in their community and in causes that are important to them.

Strength-Based

I have used strength-based therapy in combination with motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy for both my clients who are recovering from addiction and who are struggling to find coping skills that work well with them. I have also used strength-based treatment for client's who struggle with changing behavior that they had for several years by building upon the actions that they are currently able to do that bring them closer to the behaviors and self-identity that they want to have.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use person centered therapy often throughout my practice in that I make sure to allow the client to take the lead in their treatment. I allow for silence and space so that the client can express themselves and their needs freely and I encourage the client to bring up their strong points. I find a person-centered approach to be especially important when first forming a relationship with the client and learning about them as well as in helping to work through stuck points in the therapy process.
