Michelle Miller
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and supervisor who believes therapy should be a place where you can show up as you are. I work primarily with women navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, and hormonal seasons of life. My goal is to help you feel truly known, supported, and equipped to move forward.
First session
Your first session is really about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult, and what you hope will be different. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story at once. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer idea of how we can move forward together.
Strengths
I bring warmth, compassion, curiosity, and a practical approach to therapy. I don’t believe therapy should feel like you’re simply talking in circles. We’ll work together to understand what’s underneath the patterns that keep showing up and develop tools that actually fit your life. I also incorporate experiential approaches, including Brainspotting, when appropriate.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is ready and motivated for change, even if they aren’t quite sure what that change looks like yet. You don’t have to have everything figured out, you just need to be willing to show up, be open-minded, and stay curious about yourself and your experiences. I work best with clients who are willing to explore, try new things, and take an active role in the therapy process.
Treatment methods
Brainspotting
I use Brainspotting as an experiential tool to help clients process emotions and experiences that can sometimes be difficult to work through with talk therapy alone. By noticing where emotions and sensations show up in the body and using specific points in the visual field, we can access and process experiences on a deeper level. I may incorporate Brainspotting for anxiety, trauma, stress, difficult emotions, or patterns that leave you feeling stuck. We’ll always work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you remain in control of the process.
