I utilize a strengths based perspective, meeting clients where they are at and harnessing their strengths, while building their coping skills to meet their identified goals. I work well with clients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, anger management issues, and those with chronic medical issues. I have worked at the Veteran's Administration for ten years and have experience working with veterans. I specialize in treatment of those with both mental health and physical health issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, expect to get asked a lot of questions as I have a strong desire to learn my client's story from their perspective, so I can understand best how to help them. In the second session, I work with my clients to develop treatment plan goals, which we will revisit often, adding and editing as we go along. I believe strongly in getting feedback from my clients at the end of each session to determine if there is anything my clients think I could do differently.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I personally have experienced what it is like to struggle with depression and anxiety as well as overcoming barriers and possess a keen ability to connect with clients and help them on their path to recovery

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work well with people who have experienced a lot of trauma and overcome barriers and are motivated to improve their lives. While I have a lot of experience working with older adults, I have also worked extensively with young adults transitioning into adulthood.
