Hi, my name is Grace Peprah. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and have been practicing for over 14 years. I am committed to helping individuals and couples learn how to cope with life challenges. My work as a clinician also focuses on helping clients target unhealthy thinking patterns.
In our first session together, we will begin with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. My goal is to create a safe and trusting environment.
I am an African-born therapist and therefore it comes in as a tremendous asset that helps me to understand how culture can play in role in our day-to-day lives and core beliefs.
I love working with individuals and couples. My clients often are in need of the tools to help them succeed in life.
I use CBT as a way of exploring cognitive distortions and helping clients understand their thinking, feelings, and behaviors.
I help couples understand their triggers and come up with goals to retore their relationship.
I explore the stages of grief and where clients find themselves in the stages.
I use this approach to assist clients in coming up with constructive solutions to problems.
I use Narrative treatment method as a way to guide clients to rewrite their lives story in a healthy way.
