My name is Fernando and I have been a therapist for 22 years. I have a doctorate in special education, which allows me to do comprehensive developmental evaluations and psychiatric for pediatric patients exhibiting developmental delays. I have a postgraduate certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, which allows me to prescribe and treat various psychiatric disorders. I have another master’s degree in family and marriage therapy, as well as a second master’s degree specializing in advanced practice family medicine. I will hold dual board certifications through ANCC and AANP. I on my practice where I see patients in my office and also through telemedicine. Through the past 22 years, I have served in the capacity of a therapist, educator, and medical provider. I specialize in diagnosing developmental disorders in young children, such as, determining whether someone has autism or not. I also specialize in assessment and referral for early intervention in at risk children. Other areas of expertise are that we can see patients with various addiction problems, provide therapy for some of these issues, and we can also prescribe Suboxone and similar medications for the management of substance use disorder. We also specialize in the area of pain management, what we will be able to treat chronic disorder pain syndrome. We also manage ADHD in both children and adults. We also specialize in anxiety and depression. Other disorders that we specialize are bipolar disorder, eating disorders, weight loss and management, panic disorder, sleeping disorders, eating disorders, and trauma.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
One of the things that people can expect from's is that we are good listeners. We also view ourselves as life coaches, and our main goal is to help you deal with some problems that may be affecting the way you handle issues in your life. Our approach is simple. We believe that you are in the driver seat and that our job is to be in the passenger seat to help you process things that we will help you make better decisions regarding her health. All answers are within you. Our job is to help you process and discover these answers.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
In our clinic, you can expect to see a holistic cognitive behavioral therapy as well as a family systems approach to our sessions. We are also equipped to provide not only therapy, but we can prescribe and manage your psychiatric medications. This includes ADHD medication.
