New to Grow
Welcome! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving the Springfield community, my goal is to provide a deeply compassionate and collaborative space for your outpatient therapy. Whether we are working together to build practical emotional tools, healing past relationship patterns, or exploring your authentic self in a safe, affirming environment, I am here to walk alongside you. My hope is to help you feel truly understood and to empower you with the resilience and confidence to thrive in your everyday life.
In our first session, my main priority is creating a warm, zero-pressure environment where you feel truly heard and respected. We will take our time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, and beginning to outline your unique goals for our work together. There is no rush or expectation to share everything at once—we will move entirely at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you as we build a foundation of trust and collaboration.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the intentional balance between deep emotional exploration and actionable, real-world skill-building. While we use attachment-based methods to understand the 'why' behind your emotional responses and relationship patterns, we simultaneously use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to give you the 'how'—practical, concrete tools to manage distress and regulate intense emotions in your daily life. Additionally, as a strictly gender-affirming therapist, I ensure that your autonomy, lived experience, and authentic identity are always honored and centered in our work. Clients often find that this combination allows them to not only heal from past relational wounds but also leave sessions equipped with tangible strategies they can immediately use. My ultimate goal is that you experience therapy not just as a place to be deeply understood, but as a collaborative space that actively empowers you to navigate your world with greater security, resilience, and self-compassion.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are seeking a secure, validating space to navigate emotional complexity, relational patterns, and identity exploration. My practice is highly suited for individuals looking for a balance of practical skill-building and deep emotional insight to apply in their everyday lives. Many of the individuals I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by distress or struggling to navigate triggers in their daily environments. I am uniquely equipped to support these clients by utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build concrete, actionable tools for emotional regulation and distress tolerance. Additionally, I am deeply committed to serving clients who wish to understand how their foundational bonds impact their current relationships. Utilizing an attachment-based approach, I work with individuals eager to explore these underlying dynamics, heal past ruptures, and cultivate more secure, fulfilling connections. I am also strongly positioned to support transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals. Through a strictly gender-affirming lens, I serve clients seeking an empathetic, client-centered partner as they explore their authentic selves, navigate systemic stressors, and affirm their autonomy. Ultimately, the individuals I am best equipped to help share a desire for sustainable change. Whether their therapy goals involve stabilizing intense emotions, reshaping how they connect with others, or stepping fully into their identity, I provide the structured yet deeply empathetic outpatient support necessary to foster their ongoing psychosocial growth and long-term resilience.
Attachment-based
I utilize attachment-based therapy to help clients explore how early relationships and foundational bonds shape their current emotional patterns and interpersonal dynamics. Within the outpatient setting, I focus on providing a secure therapeutic base from which clients can safely examine and reshape these patterns in their everyday lives. I track these relational shifts and clinical insights through detailed narrative documentation, capturing the nuances of their progress and evolving attachment security.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help clients build practical skills for emotional regulation and distress tolerance. In the outpatient setting, I focus on equipping clients to independently apply these tools to their daily lives and real-world triggers. I closely track this behavioral progress and skills development through detailed narrative documentation, ensuring clear alignment on the client's ongoing treatment goals.
Gender-affirming therapy
I utilize a gender-affirming approach to create a safe, validating space where clients can authentically explore and express their gender identity. Within the outpatient setting, I support clients in navigating the social, emotional, and systemic aspects of their daily lived experiences, honoring their autonomy at every step. I capture this identity development and their ongoing psychosocial progress through detailed narrative documentation, ensuring their care remains deeply client-centered and respectful of their unique journey.
