Having a safe space to talk can help you feel validated, heard and grounded. If you are feeling stressed in life, new or past struggles, feel overwhelmed, burned out or wanting to work on your self esteem and communication, with developing skills and processing internal changes we can make improvement to find that balance and bliss in life. You do not have to go through it alone. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist working with individuals and couples that need that safe space to improve in any way. I provide therapy in English and Spanish, work with the Latino community, POC and the LGBTQ+ community. I have worked with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, adjustments/transitions in life, parenting, relationships, work related stress and some OCD. Our first session is really about us getting to know each other, ability for the client to ask me questions, gather information and identify the goals "what we would like to get out of therapy."
I am big on addressing the person as a whole, working on understanding our childhood affects, cultural affects and ways of life into the sessions to understand all aspects of the person.
POC, Latino, LGBTQ+, college students, adults. Client that are open and wanting to work in session to learn more about themselves.
I have used CBT for many years, combined with solution focused, EFT and client centered therapy. Utilizing psyhchotherapy to teach and have the client understand their patterns, I then work on coping skills to help reduce symptoms as we continue to process through the effects of the long term patterns and eventually change the patterns and behaviors.

Brenda listens to me and helps me with my issues. She is authentic and is honest with me. I’m 66 with anxiety for life and I am not an easy client for her. She always shows up and I am grateful to have her.
