I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adolescents, young adults, and parents who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or caught in patterns that aren’t working. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, intense emotions, relationship challenges, or behaviors that feel hard to control. I specialize in helping clients better understand their emotions and develop practical skills to manage them more effectively. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I integrate DBT and trauma-informed strategies to help clients build emotion regulation, communication, and coping skills that translate into real-life change. Therapy with me is both supportive and structured- a space where you feel understood while also learning concrete tools that help you move forward. I also provide parent coaching, helping caregivers strengthen connection, set effective boundaries, and respond confidently to challenging behaviors. Whether I’m working with an individual or a family, my focus is on building clarity, resilience, and meaningful, lasting growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting a clear understanding of what brings you to therapy and what you’d like to see change. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, background, relationships, and any patterns you’ve noticed. My goal is to understand the full picture while also helping you feel comfortable and heard. We’ll also begin identifying goals and discussing what therapy might look like moving forward. If it feels appropriate, I may introduce initial skills or strategies you can begin using right away. I want our work to feel both supportive and purposeful from the start. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance. Just come as you are. The first session is about building clarity, establishing direction, and making sure we’re a good fit to work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to balance validation with structure. Clients often share that they feel genuinely understood while also being guided toward meaningful, practical change. I don’t believe therapy should feel vague or unstructured- I focus on helping clients identify patterns, build concrete skills, and apply those skills in real-life situations. I am especially skilled at working with intense emotions, relationship challenges, and high-conflict dynamics. I remain calm and grounded in sessions, even when emotions feel overwhelming, and I help clients slow things down so they can respond rather than react. Another strength of my work is clarity. I help clients make sense of what they’re experiencing and understand the “why” behind their patterns, while also equipping them with tools to move forward. Whether I’m working with individuals or parents, my approach is practical, direct, and focused on lasting growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adolescents, young adults, and parents who are ready for therapy that is both supportive and practical. Many of my clients feel emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or unsure how to navigate relationships and life transitions. They are often looking for real tools to help them feel more in control of their emotions and reactions, not just a place to talk. I’m especially well suited for clients who experience intense emotions, mood swings, relationship challenges, or difficulty managing stress. I also work well with teens and young adults who may feel misunderstood, struggle with self-esteem, or have trouble communicating their needs effectively. For parents, I provide coaching and guidance to help strengthen connection with their child, improve communication, and respond more confidently to emotional or behavioral challenges. Many of the parents I work with want practical strategies they can use at home while also better understanding their child’s emotional needs. My ideal clients are open to learning skills, reflecting on patterns, and practicing new ways of coping and communicating. They don’t have to know exactly where to start- just be willing to show up and work toward meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a core part of my work and one of the primary approaches I use with clients who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in patterns, or unsure how to manage intense emotions or relationships. I focus on teaching practical skills that clients can actually use in daily life, including emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and communication skills. My style is both validating and direct- helping clients feel understood while also supporting meaningful, lasting change.

Family Therapy

I use family therapy to help families communicate more effectively, reduce conflict, and better understand one another. Many families come in feeling stuck in repetitive patterns, and my role is to help slow things down, improve communication, and create healthier dynamics. I work collaboratively with family members to build practical tools that strengthen relationships and support long-term growth both in and outside of sessions.

Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT)

My parent-child work focuses on strengthening connection while helping caregivers feel more confident and effective in responding to behavior challenges. I provide practical coaching and clear strategies that help parents understand the “why” behind behaviors and respond in ways that support emotional regulation and healthy development. The goal is to create calmer, more connected interactions and reduce stress for both parents and children.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use TF-CBT to help children and adolescents safely process difficult or traumatic experiences while building coping skills and emotional resilience. Treatment is structured but flexible, moving at a pace that feels safe for the client. I focus on helping clients feel more grounded and empowered while also involving caregivers when appropriate to strengthen support and reinforce progress outside of therapy.
