Kristi Conoly
My name is Kristi Conoly, and I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over twenty years of healthcare experience. I founded Brooke Haven to provide thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care that supports individuals and families in understanding their mental health and navigating life’s challenges. My work is grounded in compassionate care, with a focus on helping clients recognize their strengths, address concerns, and move forward with confidence and appropriate support.
First session
In your first session with me, you can expect a calm, supportive space where we focus on getting to know you and what brings you in. I view the initial appointment as a collaborative information-gathering session—this is your time to share your concerns, experiences, and what you’d like to see change. We’ll talk through what’s been challenging, what’s been going well, and what goals you have for treatment. I may ask some questions about your history and current situation so I can better understand the full picture, but there’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying possible directions for treatment and what working together might look like moving forward, so you leave with a clearer sense of next steps.
Strengths
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I bring a balanced approach that integrates clinical expertise in psychiatric assessment and medication management with a strong therapeutic presence in session. My goal is to understand the whole person—not just symptoms—so I can support both immediate symptom relief and long-term emotional and functional improvement. My strength lies in combining evidence-based psychiatric care with practical, supportive therapy interventions. I take time to understand what is happening biologically, psychologically, and environmentally, and I help clients connect those patterns in a clear and meaningful way. I also focus on translating complex clinical information into language that feels understandable and useful. What sets my approach apart is that I don’t separate medication management from emotional care—I see them as connected parts of the same treatment plan. Clients can expect a collaborative, straightforward style where we identify goals together, explore options openly, and build a plan that may include medication, therapeutic strategies, or both. I aim to provide care that is structured, approachable, and focused on real-life improvement.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating attention, behavioral, emotional, or neurodevelopmental concerns. I specialize in the assessment and treatment of ADHD and Autism spectrum disorder, and I enjoy helping clients and families better understand how these conditions show up in daily life and functioning. I also work with individuals experiencing depression and anxiety, particularly when these symptoms are impacting focus, motivation, emotional regulation, or relationships. Many of my clients are seeking clarity around their diagnosis, support with managing symptoms, or a more effective and individualized treatment plan that may include medication management and therapeutic strategies. My approach is especially helpful for clients who want a structured, collaborative process and who are looking for practical tools in addition to clinical insight. I aim to help clients feel more understood, more organized in their care, and more equipped to make meaningful, sustainable changes in their day-to-day lives.
Treatment methods
Supportive
I use a supportive treatment approach as an ongoing part of my clinical care to help clients feel heard, understood, and grounded while we work through their symptoms and goals. In practice, this means I prioritize a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly discuss what they are experiencing without fear of being rushed or dismissed. My supportive approach focuses on validation, psychoeducation, and practical guidance. I help clients make sense of their symptoms in a way that feels clear and manageable, while also offering encouragement and steady feedback as they work through challenges. When appropriate, I incorporate brief therapeutic interventions alongside medication management to reinforce coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and insight into patterns of thinking and behavior.
