Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your initial session with me is a crucial first step in your mental health journey. It’s designed to be a safe, comfortable, and comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we get to know you as a whole person. During this 60-90 minute appointment, we will: Listen Without Interruption: Your story is the most important part of this session. I'll take the time to hear your concerns, life experiences, and current challenges without judgment. Discuss Your Goals: I will explore your therapy goals, expectations, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. Conduct a Thorough Assessment: We'll review your medical history, psychosocial history and any previous mental health treatments to gain a complete picture of your needs. Establish a Collaborative Plan: Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, lifestyle adjustments, and coordination with other specialists, such as a therapist. Our goal for this first session is to make you feel heard and understood, and to begin building a trusting partnership on your path toward mental well-being. We’ll be transparent about timelines and expectations, ensuring you leave with a clear understanding of the next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach is centered on a compassionate, holistic, and patient-first philosophy. What stands out most about my methods and results is the combination of personalized care and a commitment to addressing the root cause of your concerns. I believe in treating you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. You're Not Just a Paycheck: I am committed to taking the time to truly listen to your full story, asking compassionate questions, and accurately summarizing your narrative. You will never feel rushed in and out of a session. Beyond Medication: While we specialize in medication management, our approach is not simply about prescribing pills. We help you explore your mental health from a biological, psychological, and social perspective. We've helped many clients reduce or change their medication regimen by addressing underlying issues and tailoring treatment to their specific needs. Treatment is not restricted to western medication alone, supplemental treatments are a true asset in addressing today's complex mental health challenges Tangible Results: Our patients have experienced life-changing outcomes, going from "a very dark and scary place" to "completely on [their] feet and feeling great." We have a track record of helping people regain control of their thoughts, reduce anxiety and panic, and feel like a "real person that enjoys life."
