Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based virtually in Connecticut. I currently specialize in working with individuals who may be struggling with symptoms of: trauma, anxiety, stress, depression and ADHD. Using a holistic approach, I work with clients compassionately and respectfully to help clients achieve peace and balance in their lives. I received my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Mason University, and I have worked in a variety of settings including: a hospital IOP program, addiction recovery center, college community mental health center, creative arts therapy center and group private practices. I also have experience with psychological assessments.
I know that starting therapy (maybe for the first time) can be stressful for some, and building trust can take time. In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then explore the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions together. If this is your first time trying therapy, rest assured that in the first session, I can answer any questions you may have about the process. *Please bring your ID and insurance card to our first session. *Please note that at this time I have Monday and Wednesday availability: Mondays at 4 and 6 and Wednesdays at 5. at 5 PM. Additional times may be available and will be discussed upon intake appointment. Feel free to send me a message prior to intake appointment to discuss availability!
With a compassionate approach, utilizing researched-based treatment methods and creating a tailored treatment plan, I have seen previous clients find peace from past trauma, reach their goals with increased motivation, and navigate life stressors with coping skills outside of session. I believe restoring balance and healing is possible.
I work best with clients who are ready to commit to regular sessions and invest time in their healing. Some of my main focus areas are trauma, anxiety, and mild-moderate addiction issues, and identity issues to name a few. I value working with individuals who are open-minded and willing to engage in the therapeutic process. I also work well with those are open to mindfulness practices as well as the creative and spiritual community. Because I work online currently, it’s important that clients have a private, comfortable space where they can fully show up and feel safe, and who are comfortable with online services. If it appears in person would be a better fit, I will be happy to assist you in finding an in person therapist. Together, we can build insight, develop coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Important Notes: * Please have a copy of your ID and insurance card at the first intake session. * For teenage clients, the adult will have to be present for the first therapy session and has to be available and at the same location as the client at every session in case needed. If there is a custody arrangement for the teenager, copies of this arrangement and any other relevant documentation regarding legal arrangements must be provided upon intake and communication will have to happen with both parents in most circumstances. * I do not currently see couples * Please note that there is a late cancellation fee of $75 if the appt is not canceled within 24 hours. This is to ensure my availability and giving other clients a chance to book a session. I understand urgent situations and emergencies come up, so I just asked that you communicate in order for the fee to be waived.

EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-informed & researched-backed trauma treatment intervention. This method is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories using guided eye movements. I received my EMDR Training in 2022 from EMDR Institute. Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness techniques such as meditation and breathing exercises can help lower feelings of distress, increase feelings of peace and bring us back into the present moment.
Trauma Informed Care
Clients' wellness and comfort level are always on the forefront of my mind. I ensure that clients feel that they have an active role in their treatment and are comfortable with the interventions used.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing can be a helpful approach for clients who would like to find more motivation to complete goals and tasks.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems can be a helpful way to "un-blend" with emotions and get to know ourselves more deeply by becoming welcoming and curious to parts of ourselves.
