(she/her)
I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with advanced training in integrative mental health. I help individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions by combining evidence-based medication management with holistic therapies like CBT, nutrition, and mindfulness. My goal is to support your healing from the inside out—so you can feel more balanced, empowered, and connected in your daily life.
Your first session is all about getting to know you—who you are, what you're going through, and what you hope to achieve. We’ll explore your current concerns, personal history, and any past treatment experiences. I’ll also ask questions to better understand your emotional, mental, and physical health. Together, we’ll begin identifying both short-term and long-term goals, so your treatment plan is tailored to your needs and aligns with what matters most to you. Whether we move forward with therapy, medication management, integrative approaches—or a combination—we’ll take a collaborative, step-by-step approach in a space that’s supportive, respectful, and judgment-free.
My greatest strengths lie in my ability to truly listen, build trust, and create a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. With a background in both primary and psychiatric care, I bring a well-rounded perspective to mental health that considers the whole person—mind, body, and lifestyle. I combine clinical expertise with compassion, and I meet clients where they are, without judgment. Whether you need structured guidance, emotional support, or a more integrative path to healing, I’m committed to walking beside you with empathy, curiosity, and respect.
I’m best positioned to support young adults, and adults who are seeking a compassionate, whole-person approach to mental health. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions and want more than just a quick fix—they’re looking for real, lasting change. Whether you're a teen struggling with stress or identity, or an adult feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, I offer integrative, evidence-based care that supports healing in both mind and body.
Other specialties
I identify as
Integrative
I believe in treating the whole person—not just the symptoms. My approach blends traditional psychiatric care with evidence-based complementary treatments to support emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I work with each client to create personalized treatment plans that may include lifestyle and nutritional recommendations, mindfulness-based practices, mind-body techniques, and natural supplements when appropriate—alongside or in place of conventional medications, depending on your goals and needs.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a practical, goal-oriented therapy that empowers you to build healthier thinking habits and develop tools for managing life’s challenges. In our sessions, I may use CBT techniques to help: Recognize negative or distorted thoughts Challenge limiting beliefs Replace harmful patterns with healthier coping strategies Improve emotional regulation and problem-solving skills Whether we’re working through anxiety, depression, or trauma-related symptoms, CBT gives us a structured framework to make lasting, meaningful change. I often integrate CBT with holistic tools such as mindfulness, breathwork, or nutrition, depending on a client's unique needs.

Being fairly new to mental health and its treatment, I was extremely anxious and hesitant to take that 1st step..but Kristen reached out to me as soon as we matched for patient/provider and made the process not as scary or confusing.

After a long road of specialized caregivers in my life, I was expecting a routine visit, unlike many others I have attended. But WOW! This was a level up from anything I could have expected. Thorough, kind, informed, knowledgeable, comforting...just incredibly impressive with her entire approach. Without getting into specifics, it was the most uniquely wonderful experience I have had talking about the darkest part of my life.
