In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, non-judgemental space where you feel safe to share at your own pace. We will focus on getting to know one another, building a trusting and supportive therapeutic connection, and gaining a holistic understanding of what brings you to therapy. We will explore your current challenges, clarify your therapeutic goals, and begin shaping a path that feeling aligned with the life and version of yourself you want to grow into.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength as a therapist is supporting clients as they work through trauma and stress, helping them build new narratives that highlight their resilience and strength. I bring a calm, compassionate, and culturally responsive approach that creates a safe space where you can explore past pain, build insight, and learn more adaptive ways to navigate life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who are ready to engage in a collaborative, reflective process - individuals who are open to building insight, recognizing patterns, and creating meaningful shifts toward a more balanced, grounded, and peaceful life. My ideal client is committed to personal growth and values a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, partnership, and authenticity.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the link between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. I help individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, interpersonal struggles, and general life stressors break maladaptive patterns by developing practical coping strategies.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use Trauma Focused - CBT to help clients understand the impact of trauma, develop healthy coping strategies, and create a personal narrative rooted in resilience and strength.
EMDR
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and use it in my practice to help individuals reprocess and heal from complex trauma. The goal is to move through difficult and distressing experiences so clients can reduce the level of disruption caused by the traumatic event(s) and feel more grounded in the present.
Mind-body approach
Using a mind-body approach in therapy helps clients understand how stress and trauma are stored in the nervous system. I work with clients on identifying somatic symptoms of trauma and stress, building self-regulation skills, and feeling more grounded.
