New to Grow
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker supporting adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, and burnout. My approach is warm, collaborative, and action-oriented. I help people move from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to reconnected and purposeful. Through our work together, you'll gain practical tools and deeper self-understanding to navigate challenges with confidence. My goal is to help you interrupt unhelpful patterns and build a life that genuinely feels like yours.
I complete a phone consultation with everyone prior to the first 60-minute appointment to answer any questions you may have and to ensure we're a good fit based on your needs and preferences. In the first session, we're building trust and starting a new therapeutic relationship, so I ask you about the present, past, and future in broad brushstrokes to understand how I can help, spot patterns that may be getting in the way, and draw out your strengths and resilience. Moving forward, we get into developing more insight, utilizing skills, and creating tangible changes in your daily life. I'm transparent and open about why I'm asking what I am and why I suggest certain tools over others. I value trust and openness in this space, and no topic is off the table. **Important Note: When you book on Grow, you are booking a 15-minute complimentary phone consultation with me. Grow does not have this function open on their platform but it is an important part of the booking process for me. So, it will look like you're booking a full appointment, but it will be for the complimentary phone consultation. I DO have more availability than what is shown on my calendar with Grow and we can discuss that availability when we chat for our phone consultation. **
The clients I've worked with over the years have shared that I create a warm and comfortable environment pretty much right away. The way I communicate and the respect and warmth I show my clients definitely helps with that. In terms of experience, I have a lot of it across different settings, populations, and treatment modalities that has equipped me with skills, perspective, and adaptability that I wouldn't have gained otherwise. I've worked in prisons, jails, community mental health centers, medication-assisted treatment programs, residential rehab, and now my private practice. Earlier in my career, I conducted home visits and worked with youth, and while my focus has shifted, those experiences still shape who I am as a clinician today. I'm compassionate and genuinely care about supporting every person I meet, no matter what they're facing.
Maybe you relate to looking like you have it "all together" on the outside, but underneath, you're feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck. Maybe you're managing a major life transition, battling persistent anxiety, or constantly overthinking every decision. You're tired of just going through the motions and ready to actually feel like yourself again. My ideal clients are motivated adults who recognize something needs to shift. You're looking for more than just venting... You want real strategies and tools to create lasting change. You value a therapist who will meet you with warmth and curiosity while also challenging you to grow. You're ready to explore the patterns keeping you stuck and willing to do the work to move forward with clarity and confidence. If you're done spiraling and ready to lead your life with intention, we'll be a great fit.
I use CBT skills to highlight the link between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to develop insight into what contributes to uncomfortable emotions or unwanted behaviors so that skills can be developed to slow down, challenge what might not be true, and restructure unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and actions to live a more aligned, confident, and fulfilling life.
I utilize DBT skills for overwhelming emotions and for managing relationships in a more helpful way. In DBT, I introduce TIPP skills and interpersonal effectiveness when it is appropriate for helping navigate uncomfortable emotions, situations, and difficulty in relationships.
I use a wide range of techniques, styles, and interventions based on the individual. I do not have a one-size-fits-all approach. I take my learning and experience from the past decade and openly and collaboratively work with my clients to create an environment where they can reach their goals and be supported along the way.
Through our work together, we uncover your inherent strengths, how they've helped you get to where you are, and how to utilize them to get to where you want to be. This modality has a focus on where you want to go using the resources available to you vs. only focusing on symptom reduction or management. It is an empowering and collaborative approach.
