New to Grow
Being able to help others thrive, not just survive, and discover fulfillment is why I became a therapist. I use therapy to make meaningful change more accessible for those seeking growth. My eclectic, personalized therapy style combines evidence-based methods from CBT, Mindfulness, DBT, Solution-Focused, Wholistic, and Humanistic approaches to best serve your unique goals. I've worked in multiple settings and with a wide array of individuals. I strive to provide a warm and supportive environment to encourage and empower members.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session will be getting to know each other, exploring your background and experiences, identifying obstacles you're facing, and finding your personal and therapy goals to meet your needs. (Also a review of already completed forms and such as needed, but I try to make that as painless as possible.)
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Many clients have reported my kind, warm, and humor-loving personality shines through and creates a comfortable environment for therapy. I am authentic, open, and supportive while still challenging clients when needed in a gentle way.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have work with individuals facing depression, anxiety, ADHD, chronic illness/pain, grief, life transitions, caregiver and work stress, relationship challenges, LGBTQI+ related obstacles, ethical non-monogamy and kink-related obstacles, and home and family issues. I always enjoy working with members with a sense of humor, openness, and a willingness to try new things to reach your goals.
Eclectic
I approach sessions with an eclectic style. Meshing techniques from CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Object Relations, Wholistic, Rogerian, and more to suit each individual's unique needs.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Through CBT, I'll blend the rational, realistic, and helpful thought-finding techniques with behavioral changes to improve mood, self-esteem, executive functioning, empathy, sleep hygiene, and quality of life with clients.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT skills-trained to help find effective tools to improve communication, social skills, mood, self-confidence, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance.
Mind-body approach
I work with many individuals to help find their mind-body connections to assist with sense of self, self-care, distress tolerance, and to regain a more wholistic perspective to symptom management related to chemical and situational depression, anxieties, locus of control, and transitional experiences such as grief, gender- and sexual orientation-affirming journeys, relationships or family changes, work stress or changes, and chronic illness.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Utilizing Mindfulness-based techniques such as meditation, paced breathing, thought flow awareness, and mindful curiosity to cultivate self-awareness, sense of self, boundaries, compassion, release of control, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and self-confidence and self-worth.
