(she/her)
I am a therapist specializing in trauma, relational issues, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. With a highly individualized and flexible approach, I integrate psychodynamic, mindfulness, and behavioral techniques to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs. Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I offer a comprehensive approach to healing trauma. My warm and authentic style fosters a collaborative therapeutic relationship focused on insight development, change, and overall well-being.
In our first session together, I aim to establish a strong therapeutic alliance by creating a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. We'll begin by discussing your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. I'll gather some background information about your history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. This initial session also provides an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the therapy process or my approach. By the end of our first session, we'll collaboratively outline a treatment plan tailored to your needs and begin laying the groundwork for our therapeutic work together.
In my approach to therapy, I utilize an integrative approach that carefully and thoughtfully selects from several useful models: Relational psychodynamic theory Cognitive-behavioral therapy Internal family systems Experiential therapies & Humanistic psychology
I believe healing is possible. My life journey has not been easy. Pain is universal, but I’ve learned that suffering is optional with the right mindset. I’ve always been curious to learn from my life circumstances and find ways to peace amongst the turmoil. Despite external forces, I believe peace is inherent within us all. I’m passionate in my work as a therapist to help others find ways to still the mind, develop new insights into subconscious forces that may be driving them, learn how to be embodied, and carve a new path towards freedom.
