As a therapist, my commitment is to help my clients explore their needs and goals so they can discover what might be holding them back from a fulfilled life, and to provide the tools needed to navigate life's challenges. I am very well aware of how difficult it can be to reach out for help. So often when we are in the dark, it seems overwhelming to leave it. My goal is to provide a safe and healing therapeutic space that leads you out of the darkness. I challenge my clients to unlock their strengths, develop life skills, and achieve desired outcomes while fostering growth and empowerment to help facilitate each person's unique journey. I use an eclectic approach, drawing on tools from cognitive-behavioral therapy, positive psychology, and compassion-focused psychology.
In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions and work through our initial paperwork, where we will delve into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. I hope that every client who sees me will gain deeper insight into themselves, feel as though they are talking to a best friend because of the comfort they feel in session, and develop coping skills to help them through their trying times.
Many clients have shared that my greatest strengths lie in my empathy and active listening. I approach each client with genuine compassion, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for you to share your experiences. Clients have stated that they feel safe with me, they feel as though they are speaking with their best friend, and have comfort knowing that I am not judging them for what they think and feel.

Positive Psychology
I utilize positive psychology to shift the focus from negative emotions to building strength, fostering resilience, and promoting well-being. This type of therapy allows for an increase in motivation and hope, while empowering clients to gain self-awareness and sustainable positive changes leading to a more fulfilling life. This type of therapy helps to reduce anxiety, stress, and depression, while increasing self-esteem and confidence.
Compassion Focused
Compassion focused therapy helps clients to reduce self-criticism, shame and guilt which leads to a greater emotional regulation and self-acceptance. I utilize this method to help clients build compassion for themselves and others, and to build kinder relationships with themselves. Often this leads to decreased symptoms of depression, anxiety and other mental health symptoms.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize CBT to provide clients with a concrete set of skills that allow them to identify and challenge their negative thought patterns and behaviors while gaining a deeper understanding of triggers to anxiety and depression. This type of therapy leads to better coping mechanisms, fosters self-awareness, and empowers client to gain a deeper sense of control in their lives.
