As a former CPA who has found her true self as a therapist and coach, I understand the unsettling feelings that persist in alerting you that something in your life is off and needs attention. The uncomfortable feeling sent me on my own journey to explore the mind-body connection. In addition to traditional psychotherapy and coaching skills, I also trained as a yoga teacher and a Healing Touch Practitioner. As a result of my journey, I came to know how right it feels when you are living in alignment with your true self. Combining years of professional training, with my unique perspective from life lessons and teachings from my roles as a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, I work with my clients to guide them through the minefields of anxiety, self-doubt, fear and distorted perceptions as they navigate the transitions and challenges of life. I use a unique approach combining mindfulness, somatic techniques and motivational interviewing, existential, and cognitive-behavioral therapies, along with energy psychology to find the most effective and powerful results. Understanding the connection between mind, body and spirit is my passion and I bring my passion to my work with my clients. I believe that “Life is lived between the ears”, or in other words, that your mind eats what you feed it. Therefore, you need to choose its diet carefully. Together, our goal will be to create harmony between your current self-messaging and the life that you desire to lead. We will find and amplify the clarity, courage and passion needed to create a life in alignment with your authentic self. It would be my honor to be your guide on the journey within.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

There are many ways to interpret everything that happens to us and just because we have thoughts about a situation, it doesn't mean that those thoughts are true. Anxiety arises when we misinterpret what we are experiencing. Your brain eats what you feed it, so it's important to choose it's diet carefully! I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you be aware of what you are telling yourself, identify any possible distortions in your thinking and reframe your thoughts to healthier, more productive ones.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

There is no doubt that life is busy and that to-do lists are never ending. However, when we focus our attention on all the things that are in front of us, or on mistakes that are behind us, we feel anxious and stressed and miss out on experiencing our lives. The practice of mindfulness, being in the present moment on purpose, allows us to become aware of what is happening in the moment and actually experience our lives. I will guide you through mindfulness practices that you can use in your daily life to stay centered, grounded and present in your life.

Motivational Interviewing

You are the expert on you. However, as Einstein said, "No problem is ever solved at the level at which it was created". Having another perspective is very helpful in solving a problem. During our sessions, we will explore roadblocks that you may be experiencing, why it's important to you to overcome them and how you can best move forward.
