(she/her)
Hello! Are you navigating a major life transition—moving from college into the “real world,” becoming an empty nester, redefining your identity, or questioning whether your relationship is still aligned? Maybe self-esteem challenges are showing up across different areas of your life. Maybe you’re struggling to set boundaries, avoid confrontation, or manage daily stress without feeling overwhelmed. If this resonates, you might have found the right space.
Your first session with me is all about getting started in a way that feels comfortable and safe. We’ll take some time to go over the logistics, such as, scheduling, expectations, and any background information that helps me understand your needs. Beyond that, this session is really about getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin building a sense of trust and comfort in our work together. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and confident that this is a space where you can show up as your full self.
I believe mental health isn’t just about managing symptoms, it’s about balancing your mind, body, and spirit so you can thrive in all areas of life. Working closely with BIPOC clients, honoring the unique cultural, generational, and systemic experiences that shape your journey. In our work together, I blend evidence-based strategies with personalized care, helping you uncover patterns, build practical skills, and reconnect with your strengths. I bring warmth, authenticity, and curiosity to every session, creating a space where you can feel seen, supported, and empowered to experience real, lasting growth.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy
As a therapist of color, I provide culturally responsive care grounded in lived understanding and clinical expertise. I work closely with BIPOC clients to explore identity, systemic stressors, and generational experiences while honoring culture as a source of strength and resilience.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT is integrated into sessions to build practical skills for managing emotions and navigating relationships. We will focus on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to create stability and confidence in daily life.

I’m grateful to Alexis for listening to my rambling thoughts and being open minded. I felt comfortable talking to her. She didn’t seem to mind that my son was playing in the same room during our session. I am a little sad that she didn’t think she was the best choice to continue therapy with me, but she made me more comfortable in choosing another therapist. I think Alexis is a caring and understanding person. I would have liked to talk with her more.

It was the initial session and she listened and gave me hope that I can overcome my issues. I look forward to working with her in the future.
